Focus is very much on the grand strategy aspect rather than individual battles. Very good high concept sci-fi setting. A single game against 8 AI players on a huge map can take up to about 20 hours.

Not a great game, battle mechanics are somewhat awkward, I wish that aspect had been more simplified; however, the economy and exploration are just fine, that was the aspect that could have been expanded. Still, I love sci-fi and strategy games, so, if you find it on sale, go for it, otherwise not worth it. By the way, the soundtrack is excellent.
