un muy buen juego con una gran historia y varios finales Recomendado
I'm gonna be honest I have some mixed feelings about this game. It's not one of the best rpgmaker horror game's I've played but it wasn't necessarily bad. At times the plot got a little too complex and instead of feeling intrigued I just felt fatigued. But I still for the most part enjoyed it. It's simple and follows a lot of cliches but it's still a decent game. So if you want to try a rpgmaker horror game with a bit of a complex plot and simple puzzles you could check this out. TW: - Paedophilia - Sexual Assault - Possible Incest???
Very nice game
Floating through a ghostly playground, every jump sparks a giggle, victories flash like fireflies, the whole experience feels like a mischievous lullaby.

RPG Maker strikes again! This is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel JRPG ripoffs spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club weeaboo fan fiction. Empty Soul deviates slightly from the routine awfulness of RPG Maker games by including some of their very own mediocre assets and a few high-school art class tier drawings. The cringey fanfiction has more of a horror/mystery theme, but that doesn't justify $7 USD for this RPG Maker bundle meat. It says all you need to know about this game that there's an achievement for picking up your first item and only 17% of people bothered to play enough to get that far. Gamers who want a good retro JRPG experience would be better off playing the originals, like Final Fantasy, Star Ocean or Chrono Trigger. Leave this terrible fan fiction in the shovelware bundles where it belongs.
How can such a simple game be so scary?... o_O
Empty Soul – S&S Edition is a psychological survival-horror adventure developed and published by ClorithStudio that blends retro 2D design with introspective storytelling and light RPG mechanics. Framed around trauma, memory, and distorted perception, the game follows Solan Walls, a young scientist whose reality fractures after a catastrophic accident. What unfolds is less a conventional horror narrative and more a descent into subconscious landscapes shaped by fear, guilt, and unresolved emotions. Rather than relying on cinematic spectacle, the experience leans heavily on atmosphere, ambiguity, and exploration. The narrative unfolds across multiple episodic chapters, each expanding on Solan’s psychological state and the surreal environments she navigates. The story is delivered through environmental clues, dialogue exchanges, and animated sequences that punctuate key moments. Players are not simply guided from event to event; instead, they piece together fragments of Solan’s past while navigating hostile dreamscapes. This fragmented storytelling approach creates an unsettling tone, encouraging interpretation rather than presenting clear-cut answers. Themes of emotional instability and inner conflict permeate the experience, giving the horror a personal dimension rather than purely external threats. Gameplay combines exploration, puzzle-solving, and survival elements. Players move through interconnected 2D environments searching for items, solving logic-based challenges, and avoiding or confronting hostile entities. Inventory management and item combination play an important role in progression, echoing classic survival-horror mechanics. While combat is present, it is not the central focus; tension is derived more from atmosphere and limited resources than from complex battle systems. Encounters with enemies serve to reinforce vulnerability rather than empower the player, maintaining a steady sense of unease. Visually, Empty Soul – S&S Edition embraces a retro aesthetic reminiscent of early indie horror titles built on RPG Maker-style engines. Character sprites and environmental tiles are stylized rather than highly detailed, emphasizing mood over graphical realism. Lighting effects, color shifts, and animation sequences help heighten the psychological tone. Although the presentation may feel dated compared to modern indie horror releases, it contributes to a nostalgic charm that aligns with the game’s intimate scope. The visual simplicity allows players to focus on atmosphere and narrative rather than visual spectacle. Sound design plays a crucial role in building immersion. The soundtrack alternates between subdued ambient tracks and more dramatic musical cues during tense sequences. Environmental audio effects, such as distant echoes or unsettling background tones, reinforce the feeling of navigating unstable dreamlike spaces. The audio complements the visuals effectively, compensating for technical limitations by deepening the emotional atmosphere. Together, sound and art direction establish a consistent mood that carries through the episodic structure. While the game succeeds in crafting atmosphere and thematic cohesion, its mechanical depth remains modest. Puzzle design ranges from straightforward item-use scenarios to more thoughtful logic challenges, but the systems do not evolve dramatically over time. Some players may find certain segments repetitive, particularly during backtracking sections or enemy encounters. However, the episodic pacing prevents fatigue from becoming overwhelming, keeping each chapter contained and manageable. Empty Soul – S&S Edition does not attempt to compete with high-budget horror experiences. Instead, it focuses on delivering a compact, character-driven narrative supported by classic survival elements. Its strengths lie in its mood, thematic ambition, and commitment to psychological storytelling. The limitations in polish and mechanical complexity reflect its indie origins, but they do not entirely undermine the experience. Ultimately, Empty Soul – S&S Edition stands as a thoughtful and atmospheric indie horror title that prioritizes emotional introspection over action-heavy spectacle. It offers a slow-burning journey through fragmented memories and unsettling dreamscapes, rewarding players who appreciate narrative-driven exploration and old-school survival-horror sensibilities. While not groundbreaking in design, it delivers a cohesive and moody experience that resonates most strongly with fans of retro-inspired psychological horror adventures. Rating: 7/10
