Enjoyable game. The more hours played, the more I appreciate strategic choices and different faction capabilities. I can see playing this often. Good value game. I am a huge fan of the board game series Twilight Imperium; this is a lite fix for me.
Definitely not perfect but It sure beats setting up the physical game if you just want to play a quick match. The AI isn't very bright and there are a few things that are rough around the edges such as the inability to zoom in on some tiles. The board game this is based on is great though and this is a fine implementation. I recommend for fans of the tabletop game. 7/10

OK so Empires of the void 2 is a great great game. this digital version is not without its issues. Basically try not to use the undo. anytime I hit a bug was after hitting undo. specifically if the game ever gave you resources from an event/card. don't undo that. simple things like move select and nothing happened can be undone fine. That aside this was such a fun game. I just played digital, not any online matches. ran really well on everything I ran even the steam deck (though the 800p screen made some text hard to read, but it ran well. after getting 10 games in on this, I went out and bought the physical game. Way fun game with a good (but buggy) implementation
I don't play a lot of board game to video game transitions, but I played a physical copy of this and wanted more. This game managed to scratch that itch for me. I also saw a lot of reviews saying this game was broken, but I've played a few games and it seems to work alright. Side note: I am using Linux with proton for those curious about Linux compatibility.
Aucun challenge donc.
The board game is good enough, but...
... this video game adaptation is really bad.
Apart from the annoying sound effects (that can be turned off, but the complete silence is even worse) it's the UI that is its biggest flaw:

It's structured unclearly.
It's clunky, cumbersome, and requires several unnecessary clicks just to display vital information instead of using hover tool tips or something like that.
I found no way of peeking behind or leaving a window that asked me for a decision to double-check information important to said decision, without first making the decision or undoing the whole action... then check the info and then do the action all over again. It's absolutely braindead and dilettantish design!...
In my first (and only) match the graphics bugged out and displayed a bunch of resource cards right in the middle of the screen covering up most of that planet in the center, but those cards couldn't be interacted with. They were just there.
It's sad, because the game itself and the graphics are mostly fine... but the controls and the UI are the result of what happens when rubbish and bullshit get totally drunk and have an accident while sharing the blankets.
Great game to learn how to play the board game and also to play against AI and friends (hotseat). I found only one minor bug with a special action card after 10 hours of gameplay. Save game is available. I highly recommend this game in both versions.
Not really, no
Hope that dev will fix connecting issue, I assume from the multiplayer support out... please please fix the bugs, it get's stuck in the learnig module; it is such a great adaptation from the board game!!
I'm sorry to say that this game is broken. I purchased it since I tried the physical board game that showed some promise and I jumped on the change to get it here on Steam, to learn and play it for the next "real" physical session. A couple of rounds in of the tutorial it bugged out. Whatever I do I cannot progress, and I don't know if I can even reset it? I wished I've read some more reviews before buying it because this game should be alpha only in its current state.
