About
It's a gloomy night on September 15th, 2025. You start the night shift as a security guard at Ellingby House, London. The once pristine head office of J.R Holder & Sons now suffers from repeated intrusions, neglect, and all the signs of corporate mismanagement. The building should be empty due to much needed renovations, but something is not quite right upon your arrival...
The news gets worse every day. A ransomware trojan is infecting computers globally, a major scandal is erupting in Westminster, and nationwide protests are now a regular occurrence.
Ellingby House is a first person point-and-click puzzle adventure. You'll explore the building by navigating between high resolution pre-rendered 360° panoramas, picking up and inspecting items, and interacting with mechanisms and computers.
We recommend playing Ellingby House on a desktop PC or laptop with a 16:9 screen. Other aspect ratios will work though with some pillarboxing / letterboxing. Please make sure you have graphics hardware supporting OpenGL 4.4 or later. Ellingby House makes use of sound and colour in some puzzles and may not be suitable for those with hearing impairments or colour blindness.

fantastic game1
The game is of great value, especially at its price. Overall the game play is fluid and the puzzles, while challenging, are not so convoluted that they hinder enjoyment in playing.

Ellingby House presents a genuinely challenging experience for those who would like a decent challenge; having a good memory in this game helps, or have a notepad and pen with you to write down all the codes you will encounter. Halfway through the game I actually felt overwhelmed by so many passwords and logins in this world of technology. A fair amount of reading (and no small quantity of patience) is necessary to get all the info you need to win the game, and to understand what is happening in the story, but this adds to the investigation element as you try to work out the mystery of what took place and who was involved. The over all experience was immersive and engaging, and rather satisfying when you solve puzzles and unlock new areas. The graphics are realistic, and the acting is entertaining, drawing the player further into the story. This turned out for me to be one of the best Point & Click games I have personally played, and I expect it would be even more appealing to IT enthusiasts. I feel the price is good for the game's content. Themes: Death and violence is very minor. It is possible to die specifically in "bad endings" of the game, but otherwise, despite some unsafe activities, your character doesn't die. Depending on your choices, it is possible to be briefly knocked unconscious by another character, and one of the characters gets pepper sprayed in the eyes. There is a revolver in one of the rooms, but it has no bullets and cannot be picked up or used. As part of the story you uncover financial crimes committed by other characters in the game, which you yourself do not participate in. Minor Religious elements in the background, such as beautiful religious art work and a Christmas tree in storage. Minor alcohol and smoking references, as bottles of alcohol and cigars/cigarettes are visible as part of the environment, including a wine cellar. You don't see anyone drink or smoke. *** ~ House Blythe, curator for Non-violent Entertainment: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/35899705/
Amazing game for a debut game from only 2 devs, a real hidden gem. Game plays like a dream on lcd steam deck, locked at 60 fps.
good atmosphere and puzzles, really underrated
Such an excellent game, for sure will be looking for more from them in the future.
I like it.
Great game! I love a good adventure game and the FMV elements are well done. Puzzles are coherent and the story fun to unravel. Look forward to Jepfores next game.
A fun little puzzle game. Very slightly reminiscent of INFRA, though it didn't really quite scratch that itch. The only criticisms I have is either I am spectacularly bad at math, dyslexic, or one of the puzzles was simply wrong, and waiting for pre-baked animations when backtracking can get a little tiresome. Fun story, wonderful graphics, nice music, and quite excellent performances from the human cast.
