I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ eets and it being free right now truly brings a tear to a twink's heart. Eets has been unavailable for quite some time, forcing people to pirate it up until it now. Thank you Klei for bringing back Eets. My Hunger for Eets have truly been emotional and this release, especially it being free for a limited time, has truly fulfilled my hunger for eets.

It’s like opening an old chest that’s been stored in the attic for 20 years. You expect to find junk. You find a treasure. Except this treasure weighs less than some Call of Duty save files.

I'm genuinely glad this game has came back! I remember playing this game back in 2007 on my step-dad's Xbox 360, and I was sad to learn I couldn't get this game anymore since it got delisted on Steam in 2015 and the fact the Xbox 360 store is no longer available. Major W to the devs for making this classic work on modern computers! Thank you for bringing back part of my childhood <3

[/url] [/u] (NO ACHIEVEMENTS) Title: Eets Summary: Old school puzzle game Personal notes: Eets is a classic physics based puzzle game from the 2000's. The goal is to guide Eets (the little white alien creature) through increasingly complex levels by manipulating objects, timing, and environmental interactions... mostly through feeding it different food though lol. I never played this game before so I can't compare it to back then but for a free game it's not bad. It's cute and the puzzles can be pretty complicated but I also feel like it is definitely a product of it's time where most of the experimentation is just trial and error. The gameplay is very simple. You click or place various things in the level and try to get Eets to reach the goal. Early on it’s very simple, but it does slowly adds more mechanics and layers that make you think a bit more as the levels progress. The core loop never really changes though. There is some charm to it however. Eets itself is quite expressive despite his/her limited vocabulary. I also feel like even when you do end up failing, it's not crazy harsh as it expects you to fail to some extent. That said, the game definitely feels it's age. A lot of the time it’s not super clear what the “intended” solution is, so you end up brute-forcing ideas until something clicks. Later levels can feel a bit messy or unclear compared to modern puzzle games that guide you a bit better. Visually, its very simple and dated but has a unique 2000's vibe to it that I enjoyed. You can tell it's more focused on function that presentation though. Audio is okay, its very minimal and I felt like it worked but wasn't too crazy. Achievement-wise, this game has none, so no need to worry about them at all. Overall, I feel like Eets is more of a time capsule than anything. It's pretty cool to see where Klei Entertainment started, and it’s fine as a free, historical piece, but not something that really holds up super well today. I would only recommend it to those who want some puzzles for free or those who want to visit the past.
