A VR title that delivers on the style, atmosphere & music. The gameplay loop is somewhat limited but I suspect the aim was more to tell a story. There are a few minor graphics issues that sometimes break the immersion a bit (eg. moon in sky at opening level not round, skybox used show edge of level, clipping at certain floorparts near statues during boatride level.) but on the whole, comparing this title to the other vr titels that I own this is solid story experience. The developer fixed all the major index controller issues within 24 hrs so kudos for that. There are a few areas where the index is still not tracking 100% correctly and that is mostly with the few puzzle when you have to move a blocking fence upwards, or puzzle piece into the wall. It took some adjusting with the controller to get past these. In short, after playing for an evening I'm curious at the next VR title from this developer.
Read the full review at http://gamechronicles.com/video-games/eclipse-edge-of-light-review-pc-vr/ I played the entire game on my Rift S, which took 2.5 hours and then I played the first chapter on my Vive just for comparison. The simplified nature of the art style and low-detail textures makes this game look good across both systems with the Rift being slightly crisper. The game did feel rather flat with no bump-mapping, shadows, or much of a 3D effect. Even the space skyboxes with the planets and moons felt very 2D; planets looked like circles more than spheres. There is no room-scale support and the game can easily be played while seated. Controls were fine on both systems but I preferred the actual analog sticks of the Touch controllers for movement and free look. You can choose from various snap-turn angles but I found the smooth turn worked best for more precise navigation; especially when jet-packing around. Eclipse: Edge of Light was a blast for as long as it lasted. I wish there had been discovery items or secrets; some reason to revisit the game, but the adventure lasts less than three hours and then there is not much reason to revisit anytime soon unless you are just in the mood for a relaxing adventure with some amazing music and great sound effects. Narration of the story bits would have been a nice touch. Thankfully, the limitations of the game are balanced by the budget price of $15, which is right on the border of fairness when compared to three hours of similar entertainment. If you are looking to explore a wondrous sci-fi world complete with forgotten civilizations, ancient mysteries, and alien betrayal and fulfill your destiny as well as prophecy then Eclipse: Edge of Light will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.
cool VR adventure
Playing Eclipse with a HTC Vive. I have not come across any Game play issues. Wonderful world to explore with a mysterious past. Love the ability to fly and see the wonders of this mysterious world. Very interesting creatures you will see along the Journey. I have just started this adventure and I can say I love it. Thank you

Basically a walking simulator. I regretted wasting money on this.
I just downloaded this game and so far i’m dissatisfied. I know there’s a learning curve in all games but the game make me very motion sick. There may be some setting I missed but so far (all the time) i’m in a constant drift backwards. I have to continually press ‘forward’ just to hold my position. If I rest, I will drift off the edge and die. I’d like to get my money back but will keep trying for a while until I actually die.
SÍ, sí, en plan "from lost to the river". Comparado con The Great C, The Vanishing of Ethan Carter, The Fisherman's Tale, Torn, o el genial Eleven Eleven, es evidente que no da la talla.
This game is VR supported but it was a bit too much for me in the VR form. Enjoyable as a 3D game. After crash-landing on a sentient planet, you awake to find a dreamscape world filled with discovery, wonder and the littered remains of a betrayed civilization Puzzles are easy to very difficult (some tricky platforming). You have a jet pack to get around (thus the VR was too disorienting with the movement for me) Very good graphics and the story is ok. Ending a bit of a let down but not enough to really hurt the overall experience of the game.
