Reviews
This clearly has AI generated artwork and written text in it, completely devaluing the game. Besides that, the dialogue is cringe-worthy and half the lines aren't voiced, making for inconsistent gameplay. Could be something great if actual effort was put into instead of AI. Disappointing to say the least. Liked the premise and would be interested in a finished product that doesn't use any generative AI.
Discovering Echoes in the Storm feels like stumbling upon a lost PS1 treasure in an old attic while you’re alone. You make yourself a hot cup of coffee, and begin to play... As you dive into this humble yet meticulously crafted game, you find yourself drawn into an investigation tinged with shades of Twin Peaks, Fargo, and The Shining. Every step you take feels heavier with mystery, as you forget that the cold storm surrounding you has already taken hold of your breath. Echoes in the Storm doesn’t try to impress with spectacle. It captivates you with its genuine atmosphere and relies on subtle, intelligent, and mesmerizing storytelling, where every clue you uncover pulls you deeper and deeper into a path you’ll hardly escape from.
A game with a unique way to handle the narrative. You will explore the story through environment items, at first feels weird but everything stars making sense as you move forward. I also enjoyed the atmosphere, the sounds are terrific.
Not great. Several issues: Lack of options (invert mouse, windowed mode, selecting input instead of just accepting keyboard+mouse AND controller inputs). Then also having AI content. Hope they are able to implement changes and replace AI content. Will re-review then.
"Echoes in the Storm" é um jogo de investigação criminal com uma atmosfera realmente sinistra. Ele entrega bons momentos de tensão enquanto você procura pistas e tenta montar o quebra-cabeça do crime. Apesar disso, alguns trechos sao escuros demais ficando quase impossivel achar certas coisas..
I'm really enjoying this dark game: reading all the notes, following the clues, and reveling in the story, although I have a bad vibe about the oppressive atmosphere created by the environment, graphics, and sound. I recommend this game, which is well worth the price.
A pleasant surprise. Just the mood and story I love. I am not into over-complicated stuff right now so this one hit the target. Ambient, and story pretty immersive and well thought. Gotta love independent studios. Deserve to be supported.
