About

Echoes in the Deep is a beautifully hand-drawn narrative-driven RPG set in the rich world of Fateforge as an accompaniment to the TTRPG. As Peridot Haps, a seasoned rogue with a storied past, you're planning one final heist. But in a city built on secrets and shifting allegiances, success isn’t just about skill. It’s about who you trust, who you betray, and how you play the game.
With a branching narrative, deep character interactions, and dice-based gameplay powered by an augmented 5E ruleset, your choices will define your journey. Will you outplay fate or be consumed by it?
A sprawling, unpredictable world awaits. From the bustling streets above to the shadowed corridors of the Netherworld below, you’ll navigate eight distinct locations, each hiding new characters, choices, and challenges. Every step you take unlocks fresh story paths, but be careful where you tread.
In Echoes in the Deep, your crew’s loyalty is everything. Every action you take, every deception, every alliance, every sacrifice, will shape their perception of you. They may admire you, resent you, or even turn against you. And when the dice hit the table, their feelings could decide your fate.
Every action you take is determined by the roll of the dice, but the odds aren’t set in stone. Your crew’s loyalty, the gear you equip, and the choices you make all shape your chances of success.
Set in the sprawling, lawless Free City, Echoes in the Deep is part of the Fateforge Universe, a world of intrigue, danger, and untold mysteries. Built upon an augmented 5E ruleset, this game delivers a self-contained RPG experience where story and strategy collide. How will your story unfold?

Reviews
I really like the Fateforge universe, so I might be biased. The story in this visual novel is really good. We experience it from an unusual perspective, as we take on the role of a protagonist who is weaving a plot, trying to place pieces on the chessboard, yet as players, we don't know the plot's content until the finale. This also means that the game's only mechanic, the point-based loyalty system for our companions, doesn't break our immersion. Typically, when such a system appears in games, it forces us to say what pleases our companion instead of acting out our own character. Here, our primary goal is to say what our companions want to hear, both as player and character. I also like the way the characters are built. They're exactly what I like in fantasy—on the one hand, almost archetypal and unconventional, yet on the other, authentic and deep enough to be likeable and believable. Unfortunately, the game is also completely linear. It's possible I didn't reach any hidden endings, but the game's structure doesn't suggest there are any. It feels like all those skill checks, loyalty points, and character choices are just there to click on while reading the story. A very good story, but one that seems to be sold as something more.
Good scenario, focus on dialogues and party mood management. A bit linear but a lot of Lore in case u like.
Très bon petit RPG au format roman graphique dessiné tiré du JdR Dragons ou Fateforge en anglais qui est au format D&D5. A tester.
