I just gave this game a try and I'm positively surprised on the first view. As a fan of retro made games, I recommend this project to fans from games like broforce consorts. Consider that you have no destruction here in this game, but a lot of cool mechanics and features. Even the graphics are very simplistic, you can witness some beautiful effects here and there and the audio design is extremely good and the soundtrack totally rocks. Great job. The weapons feel cool and offers you a variety of different behaviour. I liked the recoil system on some weapons, which can demand you, but also offers you new ways to use it for your advance. The grappling hook is nice to have and the variety of enemies force you, to change your strategies. The game starts really easy, but will definitely challenge you later on. I've just played it on normal now, The controls are super with an gamepad and thanks to a rebind feature you can config it, the way you want it. And I had to laugh on the RTX features :D Nice move. For the dev: I witnessed some small issues, I just want to let you know here (didn't used the ingame feedback system, so I hope it's fine). First of all, I couldn't change some features in the options. I was able to jump through the options, but wasn't able to increase or decrease the bars for example. Did it with the mouse then, which worked perfectly. Later I had some serious FPS drops and my RTX 3070 was in usage of 80% :D but in this case I didn't know what it caused or if it really was the game itself. The picture was very restless and I could stop it, by starting it again in the ingame menu. It was on the first lava level. And two times I had the issues, where all the plattforms were invisible (or was it on purpose? :D) I only could see some assets and the enemies but no platforms at all. And I would appreciate one feature: It would be nice to jump down a platform while pressing down and jump (for evading for example like in other games). Just want you to let you know. You did an excellent job so far and we gamers can clearly see your effort. Keep up the good work. I recommend this game to retro fans which are looking for a good challenge. Keep in mind that this is in early access and free to play and the dev is still working on it.

A short but sweet (Early Access) game! My plan was to just give it a spin before my "morning" coffee, but ended up playing through the main mode on normal. It sucked me in real good. Gunplay, grappling hook, movement.. All feel pretty tight and i had no issues up until last mission, where some strange framedrops (and graphic glitches) occurred! - since it's not only Day 1 EA launch, but also a free passion project, I'm sure this is going to smooth out with time and feedback. Not played a game like this since.. well.. Broforce. And i had a good time. Leaving Review, so Steam can pick up on this Free(!) game, but might come back and edit over time, since i'm really too sleep deprived atm to write anything more than this! (And I will probably want to go and find more civilians at some point. They get so happy when you find them!) Give it a go, it might just be what you need in your life right now :))
Really fun game, took me back to the days of Liero which is a game a had a TON of fun with as a youngling. You can feel the love that has been poured into the game, it might look simple on the outside but everything from the sound effects, movement and responsive controls makes this a easy recommend. Now I haven't played for more then 30minutes but considering this game is free I had to share my first impression on it quick as it deservers it.
Simple, fast and engaging game =) Fun to play! Get ready for some action! (maybe some speedruns too)
I'll get the negatives out of the way first. -It requires a rather beefy computer to run so it probably isn't well optimized; my geforce 650 is chugging a bit. -Weapon balance might be a little off. Rockets and shotgun feel a bit weaker than the other weapons. -First few levels feel a bit sparse, should maybe have higher enemy density. Now the positives: -Good tutorial but controls are very intuitive anyway -Gameplay feels good, easy to get into -Cohesive graphics -Good music and sound -Lots of options for skill level -Hidden areas -Level editor (though I've not looked at it yet) -Free so why not?
I recommend
If you're into retro styled games, this is one for you. The smooth movement mechanics along with the grappling hook makes you feel like a 2D spider-man zipping through levels. The different weapon choices you've given right at the beginning of the game really allow you to customize how you want to play the game. This feels like a great game to speed run and the developer seems to have known that as they added a speed running mode as well!
Nice! Pure fun. It's a mix of Duke Nukem and Broforce. Tight controls, good movement, good enemy variety, good sound and music.
