Мне не понравилась. Я в целом люблю рогалики да и метроидвании мне нравится но вместе эти жанры плохо сочетаются(как минимум в этой игре).
I wish the bird throwing mechanics were more fun. I really did not like the controls.
The aiming feels kind of awkward on controller, it won't let me remap to right stick and use right trigger as attack, it feels awkward using left stick to move and aim.
Full of retro charm
I like birds.
I hate to not recommend this game because it is polished and well crafted and achingly beautiful, but it is not really much fun. The eagle mechanic makes your character shoot really, really slowly and nothing else. You have to play conservatively because the levels are simple but endlessly long and your health pool is tiny. Worst of all, this rogue-lite setup is largely wasted as failed runs do not provide any permanent upgrades. The devs are awesome and added a second campaign for free, so if a very slow-paced platformer with procedural levels is up your alley then stop reading and buy this game. But if not....... :( EDIT: This game is maddeningly compelling. It's not a Run n' Gun, it's the most adorable Survival Horror game I've ever seen. Your character is essentially a frail weakling with a slow-motion one-shot pistol that has the range of a long melee weapon and several seconds of cooldown. The powerups range from slightly useful to active downgrade and the combo system is a non-factor. The result of all this is a game that forces even veteran platformer players to look at spacing, distance management, "leading" the target, and approaching safely in new ways. Was all this truly by design? I honestly have no clue. The mechanics seem to work against each other so, so frequently but on the other hand this is such a finely polished product that it seems everything is functioning exactly as intended. And somehow it works. So I guess I'll recommend this game after all. How's that for a Twist?
отличная бродилка прыгалка 9 птиц из 10
Fun platformer with fun owl throwing mechanic and amazing pixel art. Game is very hard if you are not playing with easier difficulties. If you like action platformers check this out. (Review based on before game was Twist).
This is really cool, it's like a mash-up of Yoshi's Island with Wario Land 4. and of course a sprinkle of Super Metroid in there with how levels are generally designed. I've tried both modes and I enjoy both, however it's definitely recommended to play roguelite mode first which you normally wouldn't expect. Usually you'd think the main mode of the game is the game with specifically designed levels and an overworld. I know it's the added content, so I'm not upset; I just think it might be good to have a "Recommended" on the option for the roguelite story mode. I would imagine it'd be confusing for most people to not realize the progression of the game actually comes from that mode. The crafted levels are for when you've mastered all the mechanics already and learned how they work. I have never seen someone try to bring the Yoshi's Island style platforming + aiming back (aside from obviously newer Yoshi games, but none of them feel this solid). Yoshi's Island is one of my all-time favourite games, so having a really cute, well designed game that plays like a modern version of that? Plus it has an interconnected world with a more intricate story that lingers JUST enough at each point. Hell, one of my least favourite things about Yoshi's Island is fixed here, there's no unskippable intro cutscene that you're forced to watch every time you play the game. I'm looking forward to 100%ing this one. I imagine the speedrun is gonna be pretty tight on the timing.
