Dying Flame is heavily a story-driven game with horror elements. You take in place of a man named James to wander around in a house of some sort to uncover the mystery behind it. You must light your way throughout the game in order to see and check the vastly interiors of this massive structure. However, there are some cases where you need to work in the dark to progress. As advertised, headphones are definitely recommended. The game contains a lot of puzzles to solve. They vary in both type and difficulty. While the mandatory ones seem simple enough to solve, some are possibly far more challenging but not impossible. There's also...something else that would tries to hunt you periodically, but the holes in the ground are a bigger threat to me than that... Better watch your step...
I have stream this game for about 14 hours now and never played any RPG Maker horror games before (Unless one counts LISA The First) I really got into the atmosphere of the game. The sound design was top notch and added a lot to the game. I was thrown off by some puzzles here and there, however that is a person by person bases when it comes to puzzle solving. I rank this very high out of all the RPG Maker games I have played on Steam so far. I am very thankful that the team let me showcase their game and wish them the very best with any future games they work on.
great game if you like JRPG-esques games like Sweet home. Watch out for holes along the way
