Try playing The Gnorp Apologue, and if you have already played that, don't bother playing this at all.
I really love the game but as others pointed out the progression is painful if you choose the wrong perks
Loved the game in the demo before launch, after launch a lot has changed and not necessarily for the best. The biggest issue I have is the perk tree being permanent without any way to reset your points allowing you to basically brick your run. Also some of the ascension perks cost more than what they say they do, which is very annoying when you can't undo anything without a full reset. Hopefully they will add a ascension reset later, but until they fix it I can't recommend it atm. (edit) Abandonware, no updates since last year.
I've played for like 20h, and another 12h or so of idle time, and I'm enjoying it, so I'd call that good value ; ) The dev has been tweaking/improving some values since launch, which shows they're dedicated to making a better product. The only major downside I've seen, is the star mechanic, which is what drives skill tree purchases, is multiplied by values in the skill tree, and the progression of getting star points isn't reset per run. This means that if you don't get to those nodes quick enough, you're going to feel behind, and I don't believe they're retroactive, so you'll never catch up.
Games translations are not 100% correct in English. Also if you don't know what you're doing in the talent tree you will soft lock yourself and make game progression so slow that it becomes tedious.
I was about to give a positive review, but at the end this could have done more polishing. The incremental genre is growing at quite a fast pace and the bar has to be raised, as more and more games are published. This is decent game though. The early parts you feel like advancing every ascension a little further. Then I hit a plateau and had to idle for some time. Then suddenly the game accelerated a lot and I was getting ridiculous amounts of prestige points which led to crazy production numbers. I had to use autoclicker just to buy all upgrades, as you bought them in the hundreds. At the end the game started lagging a lot. Due to the crazy buffs the rocket was built in seconds, so the balance of the game is a little shoddy. Overall I'm satisfied, but cannot recommend at 5€ price, as there are better choices in the genre.
Ignore the reviews saying that you have to be really specific about perks. Those dorks don't switch their potions effectively. Abuse alchemy. It's right there.
Game crashed and my save was deleted after 3 hours. Too late to refund now. Would not advise purchasing.
The mid to end game pukes on my 3080Ti. Restarting the game after a save helps for a little bit but....
NEW: leaving the review up for transparency. I've since replayed the game, deleted all save data, and restarted. When replaying and focusing on the upgrades, it's a bit more feasable, but still not great. There doesn't seem to be a cap on most upgrades, which sound fine, but it's just tedious. There's a very big performance issue as well later in the game, where the FPS just drops to 2-3, and doesn't fix itself until you restart. Few improvements that might make the game playable is a "upgrade all" option for buildings, and a massive improvement in performance. I still don't recommend getting this one, there's more fun idle games. OLD: It's a fun game for a few hours, but it starts to really slow down. Normally these incremental games speed up, but this isn't doing it for me. At least it was cheap.
