About

Rat, what's the game about? Please tell us
Duster Buster is a Pixel-art rogue-lite adventure blending horror and humor. Players take on the role as a cleaner hired to clean a big, run-down mansion filled with furniture-monsters.
The game’s quirky take on both combat, character-building, and cleaning, along with a lighthearted story, makes it approachable for casual players interested in a fun experience with a sometimes hardcore genre, while still somewhat challenging for advanced fans of the genre.
As the player unravels the secrets of the mansion, guided by their rat-merchant sidekick, they get to choose a build that works for them, adding a layer of replayability.

Hey Cleaner what can't we do?
Even though we - just like our cleaner - pride ourselves for being thorough, there might be some tricky bugs hiding. Regardless, we wanted to share this little gem as a reminder of one of our first “bigger” prototypes with you rather than hiding it away in a dusty drawer.
We hope that you enjoy this small spark of our imagination, creativity and skills, while we continue our journey as devs.

Cleaning simulator they said. Nobody told me the furniture were enemies.
Amazing little game with fun and quirky characters
They weren't kidding when they said this was short... If I hadn't died in the first run, I could have beaten this game in under 8 minutes. The heavy attack is a bit pointless, considering it is slower and... that's about it. The quick/light attack is probably stronger just because you can attack that much faster. I wish there were an endless mode. I mean, there might be, but I don't know what happens if you take book at the end and run for the hills. I chose the ending where you help the wizard dude. 8/10. I could see this becoming something similar to Enter The Gungeon if there were more bosses and more levels (or an endless mode).

Interesting game so far has potential first i feel like the heavy attack is not that worth while its only useful as AOE for the dust enemies second i dislike searching for enemies i suggest changing the flash light mechanic to one with limited battery that very slowly regens over time with some upgrades to improve vision and battery life and if you are in the dark you get attacked by something in the dark this happens in every room but the boss rooms it could add an interesting combat loop of preserving your battery for more tougher enemies and limiting your usage on the weaker one maybe even make the flash light deal dmg idk im just reviewing and wish to help.
Found a bug where I got stuck between the walls and the void but luckily going back to main menu fixed it since it saves your progress. That was the only problem I had, and it was minor, but overall its was a pretty fun short game 8/10
Short experience, never even got to spend my coins. the combat feels fine, although if you position yourself just so you can barely see the enemy they just don't come at you, which makes every encounter with more enemies easily avoided, even happened with the end boss. Also not a lot of enemy types, and not a lot of different upgrades, which is fine I guess for game you'll manage to beat under half a hour. loved the pixel art and the humour elements that didn't feel forced. Fun game if you're bored but don't want to spend hours at a random game you wont like. 7/10
Short, fun and free game! It's missing achievements though, therefore I'm going to mention that here for the achievement-hunters among of us. The gameplay is based on it's fun combat-system (left and right mouse buttong for attacking, walking around with the keyboard and with space you can make a safety-roll on the floors) and the "buy stuff for improving your hero"-system. Was really fun to hear the npc laughing: reminded me of a famous vampire.
gotta bust that dust!
short but fun, the animation for the two pages of boons/buffs you get to choose from was insane. hope for more in the future
