Somewhere within this game is a good idea for a horny roguelike. But it's obvious why the price is so low; you really do get what you pay for. The gameplay is shallow and repetitive. Combat uses a sword and a sliding timing bar. A bullseye results in a critical hit or a perfect block, which does the minimum damage. While the variety of the monsters is interesting, the xxx aspects are equally shallow with 4 frames of animation. Cuddlepedia on the pause menu allows you to replay these scenes. But there's no element of control. No jerkoff or pleasure meters which even the barest minimum of shallowly-designed smut games usually have. As a result, there's no fulfillment aspect to the pleasure elements. Immediately from the pause menu, the UI has a pretty serious mistake; "Continue" is below "Start New". While this mechnically means restarting is faster, it can also result in an accidental restart. Dungeon Vixens is simply not well-designed enough to recommend. Areas are simultaneously too short to be interesting but labyrinthine because of the lack of a coherent map. Longer areas with a visible tile map would make this idea more cohesive. The minimap which is just a compass that spoils where the treasures are doesn't work as an exploration element. There are two things I like about this game which is the shopkeeper who saves your game, and the magic stones that help you retrace your steps. I feel that with some more time in the oven, this could've been a decent monster girl game. While I am personally unhappy with the results, I will continue to play it to completion before uninstalling unless I get too frustrated with the revisits to shops before bosses. There is definitely some heart in the design. Perhaps a future game by the dev will do this idea justice. Music: 2/5 Forgettable but decent vibes in combat. Dungeon has no background music or atmospheric sounds. Performance: 4/5 Quick and snappy controls. Works great on my Ally with Steam OS. 18+ Elements: 1/5 Incredibly shallow, no player control Art: 2/5 There's clearly some passion here in the original character design. Replayability: 1/5 I don't imagine this having the longevity of many of its freeware competitors. Overall score: 2/5 Stars
Dungeon Vixens: A Tale of Temptation is an adult-themed dungeon-crawler that mixes light RPG progression with a heavy focus on mature, suggestive content. If you’re going in expecting a traditional, story-driven roguelike, you might be disappointed—but if you want a simple loop with erotic flavor and a bit of grinding, it understands its own lane. The core gameplay revolves around short runs, basic combat decisions, and incremental upgrades. Mechanics are easy to learn, and the game is more about steady progression than deep strategy. When it works, it’s a “one more run” kind of structure, even if the systems don’t have a ton of complexity. Progression is straightforward: you unlock improvements, expand options, and slowly get more efficient at clearing encounters. The pacing is decent early on, but later it can lean into repetition, especially if you’re chasing specific unlocks. You’ll get the most out of it if you’re comfortable with a grindy loop. Art direction is clearly one of the main selling points. Character designs are stylized and deliberately provocative, and the presentation keeps the tone consistent with the premise. Animation and polish vary from scene to scene, but overall it delivers what fans of adult visual style are usually looking for. The writing and story are serviceable, mostly acting as glue between scenes and progression beats. Some dialogue lands with a playful, campy vibe, while other parts feel like filler. It’s not a game you play for plot twists, but it does provide enough context to keep the structure moving. On the downside, the gameplay depth can feel thin if you’re not invested in the theme. Encounters may start blending together, and balance can be uneven depending on upgrades. UI and quality-of-life elements may also feel a bit rough around the edges, which can make longer sessions less comfortable. Overall, Dungeon Vixens: A Tale of Temptation is best approached as a mature, fan-service-focused indie with a simple RPG shell. Recommended primarily for players who specifically want adult content paired with light progression, and less for those seeking a challenging dungeon-crawler. If you know what you’re here for, it’s likely to deliver; if not, it may feel repetitive quickly.
Frequent crashing during normal play... good scenes, but holy crap is this buggy as heck... even for a cheap game...
I played it, struggled with a few bits, had a lot of fun, and realized at the very end that it was hard because i had it on the second hardest difficulty, but soon shrugged it off because it was still a 100000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000/0.1 game and it was worth every minute to play
Why try to leave such a dungeon? You could lock yourself in and stay there forever.
круто Я потом опять куплю и доиграю честно и напишу что то нормальное
This game has no fat women in it, so it's an instant 0/10 from me.
