A nice take on a classic genre. The real-time aspect (as opposed to traditional turn-based) as an additional element of excitement. The runs are quick, and the permanent upgrades seem to be paced just right to make you want to try another run. It feels like there's a good amount of variety in terms of upgrades and unlocks, along with different environments to keep things feeling fresh. The combat is particularly streamlined and helps keeps the runs moving quickly.
This is a great fast-paced dungeon crawler! The time pressure really changes the feel of this game compared to some that may look similar on the surface. Learning how to navigate efficiently is key. The skills bring a lot of variety and different strategic options to pursue a spot on the leaderboard.
Addicting gameplay with satisfying progression.
Liking this one so far. Has good meta-progression, runs are quick, and it's easy to pick up. You can find quite a few synergies among the upgrades, which is always a plus for Rogue games. Ton more upgrades for me to unlock too, so I'd imagine there's quite a handful of synergies I've yet to discover. The music is- as other reviews claim- bopping. Songs have a good rhythm to them, and complement the "quick-paced thinking" the game encourages. Couple improvements would be appreciated; like making it possible to play with one hand, or some more sound effects. But these are nitpicks. Besides that, it's a pretty interesting take on dungeon crawling, and the developer shows clear improvement compared to his previous game in nearly all aspects of the game. Give it a shot.
Frantic, yet strategic. The goal here is not to kill everything or collect all the loot, it's to get down one more floor before time runs out. Early floors are dicey and your chances aren't great, but if you can get a foothold with the right skills and items, you can build up enough momentum to play almost indefinitely and mow everything down. Unfortunately, it doesn't save your score or meta currency unless you actually die, so the "indefinite" part can be a bit of an issue, and I've also had the occasional crash. Still, it's a fun time.
This is a perfect arcade dungeon crawler if you're looking for something easy to pickup and play, a clean interface, and great use of minimal colors. I got it on sale for $4 US, and I'll get at least 5+ hours out of this over a short time, so it's worth it on that price point alone. Give it a go, if you know what you're getting into before buying you shouldn't have any worries!
Not much depth to the game, crashed on me more than once in the short time I played it, and loses all progress on a crash. Needs a lot of polish.
This game is a good game and I like it.
Simple and strategic dungeon crawler that is incredibly addictive. Great music. Random map generator and unlocks make it easy and fun to replay over and over.
Fun and addicting. I got caught off guard by the timer.
