I do wish that in Map builder after the terrain is made, buildings and players could be put on a grid system, either hex or square to make building maps easier for me. Like a snap to grid feature or something similar
Servers shut down, we can't even self host the game sessions. it only allows you to play offline and single wich is pointless.
Terrible management. Studio has folded and will be abandoning this game.

I love the features of this virtual tabletop, which is why was a backer on kickstarter, and I know this is still Beta: but I'm looking to see more character sheets available. I would recommend this for anyone who plays D&D, but my group Plays DC20, so I'd love to see a feature that allows you to import or create custom character sheets for you game in the Game Master edition.

Game that disappointed me in so many ways.
writing this knowing full well that there will be improvements later as this is an early access game, on the 27th of April 2025 however at this time i find the game lacking in a few key categories and for that reason i suggest holding off on buying it at this time. for reference my PC has an i9 10850, a 7900 xtx and 64 GB of ram the game is being run off an SSD. TL:DR; i would wait until future updates to grab this powerful tool if development continues it will likely be worth the money, but in its current state it seems very limited and slow. future updates will likely correct any complaints i have. i have found that the game is slow to respond when in a menu, asking it to pull up any menu or switch between tabs within the menu, such as when switching to different tabs of the character sheet takes upwards of 30 seconds to respond in some cases i found that it took full minutes to react to my click, with my hardware being so far above and beyond what the minimum specs lists i feel like there needs to be some optimization to speed these menus up or perhaps some form of "loading" animation to indicate that it has in fact registered your click to a different tab. also as a DM i find the lack of character stat options disappointing at the current moment: only 9 species out of the currently available 52 ( not including any of the subspecies found across all of the 2014 5E rulebooks ) only 12 of the 14 main classes ( 2014 5E ) only 12 of the 100+ official sub-classes (2014 5E ) also it is rather unclear if this is intended to be based off of the 2014 rule sets or the 2024 which has recently launched in full the fact that it is still in development makes this rather unclear since it was released into early access prior to the 2024 rule sets some clarity on this particular point may help players and DMs alike, it would also be very nice from a DM stand point to have the option for either sets, or both? eventually? maybe? also on this same note adding in some way to add in homebrew would be nice. as a video game player i find it confusing how to switch between the over-world view and the full dive control of the tokens. i think it would be better to have this be a toggle of some kind linked to a button. my suggestion, the letter O for over-world. as someone who is trying to learn to use this game not just for the game itself but as a tool to bring other people into the world of my imagination and let them roam, exiting the character creator kept sending me to the main menu instead of progressing to the game, which caused a lot of irritation with the repeating of the beginning cut-scene which does not currently have a way to skip it. the "save and exit" feature i feel should have save and exit to main menu or save and exit to the game as options instead. now i think that is all of the complaints i have as of now. on to the compliments. i enjoy that y'all have a built in voice chat and a audio player, i hope in the future that it can be more impressive with its selection though what it has now is what i would expect from an early access game. what i would like to see in the future is the addition of sounds from an outside source, such as if the party bard creates a song, for those of us intrepid enough to go and record said song it would be nice to have a way to add sounds stored on my own PC as playable through the game i like the variety and control over the assets for the maps as well as the variety of pre-built maps that are ready to use for a campaign.
"Dungeon Full Dive: Game Master Edition" is not a game. Games contain meaningful gamelike interaction and game loops, which are absent in this software. Instead of being a game, "Dungeon Full Dive: Game Master Edition" is a software application that does the same thing as much better toolkits like Roll20, it's a set of tools for Dungeons and Dragons players (and other similar tabletop RPG systems) to host games online so they don't have to, you know, get out and see people face to face because why would anyone want to do that. Anyway this is a badly made toolset (not a game) with a bunch of defects like buggy virtual dice, hard to use and see map grids, bad prop placement, crashes, limited features... this really is an inferior ripoff of much better toolsets, but that's not important because as I must keep saying, despite being published in the "game" section, this is not a game!!! This particular client is for the GMs to use, although there's no reason why they couldn't have just put the clients and the server editions in one package. Waste of $100 in Steam Direct I guess. Also, it's disgustingly priced. For those unfamiliar with what actually makes something a game, a "game loop" describes the interaction and feedback a gamer has when playing a game. Tetris, for example, has a game loop where a random block appears, the gamer interacts with the block to position it, and then the game decides if that finishes a row or not, increases the players score if any rows were completed, then gives the gamer another block to position. Counter-Strike has a game loop where a player seeks another player, tests their skill against that player by shooting them or being shot, the computer rewards the player if they win, and then if the player survives, they repeat that loop. There's no loop here, no true interactive feedback. It simply is not a game, it cannot be "played". This has misleadingly been launched in the "Games" section of Steam instead of the "Software" section. This is a common mistake for developers who are new to Steam, or don't understand the difference between games and software which isn't a game. It seems this software published incorrectly as a game is simply lack of experience/knowledge of the correct process. Here's a link for the process to publish non-game software on Steam: Steam Developer Help With Software Publishing It's unfortunate this process was not known about/followed, resulting in a software application being published in the wrong place. Publishing things which aren't games on Steam in the Games section as games is misleading to gamers and somewhat harmful, because it pollutes the Steam marketplace and takes away visibility and market exposure for genuine game developers who do the right thing and make games for gamers. There are no gameplay loops in this software, no "gameplay", no meaningful game like interaction. It's a software application and as such has no merits as a video game for gamers. Because of this, I cannot recommend this non-game software as a game to gamers. This isn't free. It used to cost fifty buck (holy crap, FIFTY UNITED STATES DOLLARS for this garbage???) and even after that there's still a bit of grift as the panhandling developers have their hands out for a $10 USD cosmetic dice donation. I'll give it to them the next time I see them splashing dirty water on my windscreen at the traffic lights. Despite now having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 130 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB shows this peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent users, and now there's basically nobody using it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it.
