You have been chosen by the Bene Gesserit to go to Arrakis as their agent and uncover the mystery of the missing Fremen. Visit locations such as Arrakeen and Hagga Basin and meet familiar characters such as Duke Leto Atreides and Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, as you unravel an epic Dune story never told before: yours.
Whether you prefer to play alone or with friends, Dune: Awakening gives you the opportunity to explore a vast, open world Arrakis brimming with secrets to discover, stories to investigate, gadgets to craft, vehicles to assemble, and bases to build. You choose which path to take as you rise from survival to greatness.
Avoid the roaming sandworms. Seek shadows to stay out of the scorching sun. Study the slow blade or learn to master the powers of the Mentat and Bene Gesserit. Build a modest home or a massive base and decorate it to reflect your character’s unique personality. Climb mountains or craft your ornithopter and take to the skies.
Dune: Awakening gives you a living, breathing Dune on a scale never seen before.
Discover a dynamic and immersive Arrakis, from the rolling sand dunes of the Deep Desert to hidden Fremen caves and the bustling city streets of Arrakeen. Climb towering mountains with the Shigawire hook and fly across sandworm-infested deserts in an ornithopter you built yourself. Escape the destructive might of the massive sandstorms towering above you as they sweep across the landscape, then take a quiet moment to witness the beauty of Arrakis when the sun is low.
In Dune: Awakening, you get to step into the books and movies and experience one of science fiction’s most incredible worlds up close. Join the Atreides or the Harkonnen and rise through their ranks as you explore their unique stories. Meet familiar characters such as Duke Leto and Feyd-Rautha, investigate the mysterious disappearance of the Fremen, and discover the truth about your own past. Unravel an epic, cinematic Dune story that asks the mind-bending question: what if Paul Atreides was never born?
Arrakis is a test that few survive. Those who do, awaken. Learn to survive the unique climate of Arrakis, chasing shade and extracting liquid from the bodies of your enemies to refine it into water. Study the teachings of the Schools of the Imperium to unlock a powerful repertoire of abilities, weapons, and tools. Wield the Trooper’s unparalleled firepower, use the Bene Gesserit voice to control your enemies, deploy the Mentat’s deceptive traps, or master the Swordmaster’s unique dance of death.
Carve out your own piece of Arrakis and build your personal base of operations. From small outposts to elaborate and towering strongholds, build everything piece-by-piece in the Atreides or Harkonnen style, or any of the other available architectural styles, and decorate it to reflect your personality. Equip it with powerful crafting machines and spice refineries and watch your power and fortune grow. Craft anything from useful desert-survival gadgets to entire vehicles such as ground cars and ornithopters.
Play alone in full single-player, multiplayer with friends on a self-hosted or rented private server, or with hundreds of other players on a public server. The full game, with all its features, content, and story, is available regardless of which mode you choose. Both single-player and private multiplayer offer extensive gameplay customization options, allowing you to scale difficulty and tune gameplay options however you like.

Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Awesome game, graphics are off the chain!
love the game play and how it makes me feel like im on Frank Herbert's Dune. love the base building and survival mechanics. love the testing stations and crashed ships which act as dungeons. i wish the overland map had better maps and navigation but its fine. i wish hagga basin was more connected to the rest of the world, like being able to walk to arakeen, but i understand the limitations. wish there were more flying patrols and i wish Crisknives were the strongest kind of knife but you couldn't repair them. if you're a Dune fan i highly recommend.
This survival game has captivated me more than any I've ever played. From how truthful it is to the source material to how fun the grinding in the game is. Needless to say I'm obsessed. If you enjoy survival games like Subnautica, and like the movies or books, you will NOT regret this purchase.
I've put a few hundred hours into Dune Awakening across two separate playthroughs and there's a lot to like. Atmosphere is great, base building is one of my favorite parts, exploration and moving around feels great too (gliding, grappling, using all the vehicles). Combat system works and can be fun, except when you have to go back to early areas to farm some component and you're way over geared for it. I first played at launch and put in a few hundred hours, taking my time up to Mark 5 gear, until there was nothing left to do but deep desert runs. I stayed away from the PvP zones after hearing how frustrating they were. After hearing about the patches making Deep Desert PvE friendly, I decided to give it another shot. I started with my original character and got back to where I left off pretty quick thanks to the 'welcome pack' offered to returning players. Built up a new base, but lost it all during a server transfer - I'd naively assumed the base I'd saved in the Base Replication tool was permanently stored, but it wasn't, and everything got wiped. Really frustrating, especially losing my first ever base layout, the one I'd spent hours and hours building in my first playthrough. So I built a new character, ground my way back up to Mark 5 gear, and figured I'd try for Mark 6 this time. I had forgotten how enjoyable the first stages of the game are. Now back to Mark 5 level, I started harvesting spice in the Deep Desert. Playing it safe makes it easy enough, but mostly it's just boring: wait for the cue that a worm's coming, take off, land, harvest, rinse and repeat. Everything takes forever solo (harvesting, the back and forth trips to DD, processing the melange) which is fine honestly, I don't mind taking my time. But then the glitches, man. Lost an entire haul of spice sand, my ornithopter and everything my character was carrying out of nowhere - no cue, a worm just passed by (underneath the spice field) and boom, here goes my ornithopter, collision glitch I guess. That was my cue to leave the game. Story's not a huge deal but worth mentioning - feels lazy, too "MMOy" for my taste, never really pulled me in. Not really a fan of the fan service either. Great game with a ton of potential, but as it stands I'd say for solos it's still only really worth playing through the first five gear tiers.
Its an alright game, for the most part its fun. Got a few annoying bits like a base taking weeks to a month to decay, it truly needs a way to claim bases that are unpowered even in pve locations. could make it so fief counsel have there own decay rate that goes down over 24 hours separate from the sand storms and it could go back up when powered. Playing it solo its a tone harder so make sure u have people to play with though most Iv seen in game are playing solo building amazing building, having to watch those decay is also saddening. The story itsself is enjoyable as long as u can find the story.
1,000 hours of playtime speak for themselves
