Drywall Eating Simulator

This game was cute and was well enough written but there's one problem. Eating drywall is kinda a tertiary concern. In fact, the gameplay often incentivizes you to NOT eat the drywall. The concept is basically a total lie. I was hyped up for a LOT of eating drywall, but instead I was mostly talked at by unpleasent people. Needs more, and more of a focus on that sweet, sweet sheetrock. I'm left hungry for more!

Currently: No. The main reason is because, as the other reviews seem to have mentioned, there are some deeply disruptive, gamebreaking bugs and softlocks in this. There's small things like floating about when you try to climb the staircase in the office section, or the wall behind Coffee Guy not lighting up to let me know I could access it. But I experienced visual issues where it seemed as though I was going cross-eyed. I had to restart my game to fix it, but in the process the game forgot what tasks I was supposed to do and wouldn't prompt for the final one needed to progress. Other than that, the premise is captivating and oddly theraputic for those who've been thrown into the workforce, the snippets of music are fun and sometimes playfully infuriating, and the artstyle is unique and adorable. Once the bugs are fully fixed, I'm definitely coming back to finish my shift at the office. But until then, I'm gonna wait it out.

Based anti-AI and extremely relevant game, buy it

I used to suffer from anger management issues at work, but now through the power of Drywall Eating Simulator, I have a secret weapon to success. My gypsum guzzling has lead to me swiftly becoming the head of my department, and no one's the wiser. Pros: - excellent writing, hilarious send-up of modern tech culture - engaging gameplay loop, well paced levels Cons: - Detritus tends to get everywhere- My clothing and furniture is now rather dusty. - no achievements to show others my drywall consumption completionism Overall, a fun time that I'd highly recommend if you're also hoping to scale the corporate ladder but are beset by the inanity of your peers.

What a cathartic experience! Finally eating drywall can actually fix all of my problems. Great writing and music. It's incredibly charming and funny. Highly recommend! :)

This must be savored, like a fine piece of drywall

I will say if you get motion sick from games pretty easily this may not be the game for you. I don't really know what some people were expecting out of the gameplay, it's literally a drywall eating simulator. I was gifted this game and went in with no expectations besides maybe a few minutes of mindless fun. So I was pleasantly surprised by the humor, how much fun pretending to eat drywall can actually be, and the hyperbolic depiction of how society has transformed in recent years. If you have a couple hours to kill and want a few laughs, and possibly some introspection, this game is for you.

Mmmm..., drywall... In all seriousness, charming game that yes, had some issues in its early release, but now the softlocks have been patched, it is a delightful short-but-sweet experience with amazing character art. I thoroughly enjoyed it, personally.

Not as exciting as the title suggested. Had some funny, sometimes quirky moments and a couple of guest appearances of characters from other franchises. There's a girl with a hajib in the first level. Eating drywall has little purpose other than to calm you down, which can also be accomplished by exiting the level and returning with your anger cleared. The primary goal is to get angry enough to bash walls down, and also complete other objectives like fetch quests. The writing tells me a lot more about the opinions and political stance of the guy who wrote the dialogue than I'd prefer, as it seemed very one-dimensional. Like, I get that people dislike AI, that's fine, until hating AI is your whole identity and personality, and now I have a lower opinion of the person who wrote the script. I mean, I was just here to eat drywall. Mission accomplished I guess. There were some cute pictures of real pets, so that was cool.

This game is a bit rough at times, but the devs seem to be pushing out update after update, even during the holidays. Unfortunately they got this game a little too accurate to the average office experience.
