DRUM'N'BASS MASSACRE is a very basic Asteroids/Spacewar ripoff from the asset flip scammers at SA Industry. They ripped off a Construct 2 template for making an Asteroids type arcade shooter and put their own name on it to try get your money for the work of other developers. Yeah, it's a scam. illuminati/SA Industry have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab. Here's some examples so you can see for yourself:

"Falling Words" = 2D Typing Game developed by Steelkrill Studio
"Kingdom Defense" = Tower Defense Basic Pixel Art Pack developed by FreeThePlayerOnGame
"Drive For Your Life" = Zombie Drive - Full Game Template developed by Puppeteer
Knowing that this is just another shovelware asset flip scam, then, we should not take this seriously as a game (and there is no reason to do so). From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. While there are options to change the resolution for the game, all this does is scale up the simplistic low quality art assets used to make the game, which makes little or no difference to the graphics quality. Without any other substantial graphics tweaks, it's not possible for gamers to improve the mediocre 2D visuals. While you can set the game resolution and even customise the game controls, there's no other interface tweaks at all, so there's no way to improve the lacklustre visuals. The game features extremely lazy, minimalist "art", of the type you normally expect to see in low effort Flash/browser games and mobile apps. Considering this is being evaluated as a PC game, having the graphics phoned in like this isn't going to result in a high quality, visually impressive game that PC gamers are used to seeing. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. Some of the defects in the game can be attributed to the choice of using the Construct 2 game engine/toolset. This is a very poor quality toolset sometimes used by amateur developers as it doesn't require advanced game development skills, but unfortunately has very limited capabilities (it's worse than GameMaker Studio!). Just as you can't make a silk purse out of a sows ear, you can't make a great video game if you use a terrible engine. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. It's also important to note the "developer" here has connections to a number of shady Russian asset flippers and review manipulators who show an organised pattern to scam and defraud gamers with fake reviews and asset flipping the work of others for profit. While reviews are about the games, gamers should be informed when developers act unethically. Whether these connections are the same developer using multiple accounts, or just working closely with other unethical developers, gamers should be warned about the harm to gamers by this developer and their associates. DRUM'N'BASS MASSACRE has an overly optimistic price of around $5 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam, and the utterly unethical nature of the developer.
There are literally browser games better than this garbage, it isn't worth your money. Some problems of this game - no tutorial or statement of objectives - unresponsive controls - graphics and levels literally made in MS paint - level designs made to annoy you with unreasonable spike placements - the music is a just a super short track put on loop - the game isn't fun - and it also crashed when I tried to exit it
In 3 Words? Dumb and Ass
good pick up and play type game. Highly recommend for anyone who has change to spare pros: - I love the mechanics. Movement is simple enough to understand immediately, but hard to completely master. It reminds me of a good Atari 2600 game - The music and art continue to feel fresh despite reuse - satisfying sound effects - low price cons: - the music and samples could be a little bit stronger - closing the game with the in-game X button freezes it, and it's a slight inconvenience to have to remember to alt + f4 every time - there is no way to track level completion across play sessions
Constructive criticism: - Would help if it displayed / explained controls at all (wasd + space, crash into cheerios to reload and spikes to die, shoot the purple things) - If the level view was zoomed out somewhat further, or if there was a minimap, it would be much easier and more fun to navigate. I have the same problem with sonic games, though. - On a similar note, the player has a very high default forward movement speed, and the only way to go slower is to hold down a key. Stopping is not an option. - Some levels, you start aimed directly at some spikes. It would be nice if you had more than a quarter of a second to react the instant the level starts -- I'd suggest having the level start paused, and begin moving when you hit a key, so the player can control that timing. - The player has enough inertia that you have to learn how to drift like in a car racing game, rather than the tighter thruster-like controls typically associated with air and space ships. This ties into that default forward movement speed thing. - Would be nice if the music loop was a little longer, or changed a bit more either between levels, or in response to player activity. What it would take to turn my thumbs down into a thumbs up? 1) A temporary bit of text in a corner somewhere explaining to use WASD + space / whatever other control options may be available. Preferably something that takes a second or less. 2) Adjusting the movement controls so that default thrust is lower, and you can gearshift between several speeds 3) Either less drift, or an expanded view plus minimap so you have time to respond to new obstacles with less reliance on memorizing each level. It feels like someone's first game. Add some polish and playtesting, and people might play it a little longer.
Fun Game, low cost and easy mechanics but it has so many "bugs" (they aren't bug cuz is a bad programming problem, not an error) -because planes collision box some of them will go outside the map so you can't complete the level -you can't go fast cause the camera doesn't follow you correctly on the borders of the map and some spikes are randomly placed so you can't dodge them in time -you're suppose to learn the map to fly freely, but you don't have a mini-map to follow and the map is bigger than what your memory can handle\ long story short, you will be pressing the down arrow key all the time and whenever you go a bit to fast you'll crash not funny to play (to the developer: just add a f**king flip button to do a 180 flip, at least that way your game will be playable)
Here is a revised and original version: DRUM'N'BASS MASSACRE is an independent arcade shooter developed by illuminati and published by SA Industry that fully embraces the philosophy of fast, uncomplicated action. Rather than focusing on story-driven progression or large-scale simulation mechanics, the game delivers a straightforward experience centered on reflexes, movement, and survival. From the moment players enter the cockpit of their futuristic interceptor, the objective is clear: navigate dangerous combat zones, eliminate hostile forces, and stay alive amid relentless waves of threats. Its design intentionally strips away unnecessary complexity, allowing the core gameplay to remain the primary attraction. The most striking aspect of the game is its commitment to speed. Combat encounters are designed around constant motion, forcing players to remain alert and react quickly to incoming attacks. Every battle feels energetic, with enemies appearing in rapid succession and demanding precise maneuvering. Success depends largely on the player's ability to balance offense and defense, weaving through hostile fire while maintaining enough accuracy to eliminate targets efficiently. This creates a satisfying arcade-style challenge where skill improvement becomes the main source of progression. A major contributor to the game's identity is its original drum and bass soundtrack. The high-tempo electronic music perfectly complements the pace of the action, giving each encounter an added sense of intensity. The pounding rhythms and energetic beats create a natural connection between the audio and gameplay, making battles feel more dynamic and engaging. Rather than simply serving as background noise, the music helps define the atmosphere and reinforces the game's emphasis on momentum and adrenaline-fueled action. The controls are designed with accessibility in mind, allowing newcomers to quickly understand the fundamentals while still leaving room for mastery. Players can jump into the action without spending significant time learning complicated mechanics. However, the simplicity of the control scheme should not be mistaken for a lack of challenge. As enemy pressure increases, players must develop sharper reflexes and better situational awareness to survive. This balance between easy entry and rewarding mastery gives the game much of its replay value. Visually, DRUM'N'BASS MASSACRE adopts a clean and functional style that prioritizes gameplay clarity. The presentation may not feature cutting-edge graphics or highly detailed environments, but it effectively communicates what players need to see during intense firefights. Enemy projectiles, movement paths, and combat spaces remain easy to read, which is especially important in a game where split-second decisions determine success or failure. The minimalist approach supports the fast-paced gameplay rather than distracting from it. The game's focused design is both its greatest strength and its most noticeable limitation. Players who enjoy classic arcade shooters, score chasing, and skill-based gameplay will likely appreciate the purity of the experience. On the other hand, those looking for extensive customization options, narrative content, diverse game modes, or deep progression systems may find the overall package somewhat limited. The game is intentionally narrow in scope, aiming to excel within a specific niche rather than appeal to every type of action game fan. What ultimately makes DRUM'N'BASS MASSACRE enjoyable is its understanding of what it wants to be. It does not attempt to overwhelm players with unnecessary features or complicated mechanics. Instead, it offers a concentrated dose of arcade action supported by responsive controls and an energetic soundtrack. The result is a game that feels honest about its ambitions and succeeds at delivering short bursts of exciting gameplay that encourage repeated play sessions and continuous improvement. For players who appreciate fast reflex-based shooters and enjoy electronic music-driven action, DRUM'N'BASS MASSACRE provides a solid and entertaining experience. While its limited scope may prevent it from achieving broad appeal, its focused gameplay loop, strong musical identity, and accessible design make it a worthwhile title for fans of arcade-style combat.
