👑 Powered by HoI 4 Deu Curators group in German / English 👑⠀⠀⠀

Follow Main group
Follow Second group
Follow Third group
English: With Dreams of Dali, the Salvador Dali Museum gives us the opportunity to immerse ourselves in the artist's world of thought. We are transported to an early painting by the surrealist, "The Archaeological Reminiscence of Millet's Angelus" and can explore the painting and Dali's dream world. Accompanied by the original voice of the artist. In the two towers and on the way there, we can discover other works by the artist, such as the "Lobster Telephone" or the first chromo-hologram by Alice Cooper at a young age, of course, the work is from 1973. All the works we see in this small experience are of course part of the permanent exhibition in the museum, whether the VR experience is still part of the exhibition is unknown to me. The program has been on Steam since 2018 and was itself released at the museum in 2016 as part of a special exhibition. We can still try it out on Steam. As befits a public infotainment program from the early days of VR, we control it with our line of sight. To change our position in the image, we look at one of the many white balls for 3 seconds and then teleport or dash there. I'm sure some visitors in the museum will have fallen over in the process. There are no further interactions. In addition to chilled ambient music, Dali's original voice plays in the background and narrates something in Spanish and English. But it's so quiet that you can hardly understand it. The graphics are good for the time and still look okay today. Bear in mind that it is a public program for a museum and has never cost anything and only takes about 10 minutes to see everything. Anyone interested in Salvador Dali is sure to still be thrilled by this little experience of jumping around in Dali's thoughts and dreams. 👀Always back to the museum with🎊 my curator page. 👑 Powered by HoI 4 Deu Curators group in German / English 👑⠀⠀⠀

Follow Main group
Follow Second group
Follow Third group

Daaalí

[th]⭐Juego gratuito⭐[/th] [th]VR🥽[/th]

"Dreams of Dali" is not a game. Games contain meaningful gamelike interaction and game loops, which are absent in this software. This is a rather empty and short art exhibition containing the works of Salvador Dali. All you do is wander around and look at some art for a couple of minutes. That's all there is to it. Not worth the download, obviously... Steam isn't here to compete with art galliers, Youtube videos and web pages, any of which could have done the job of this application. For those unfamiliar with what actually makes something a game, a "game loop" describes the interaction and feedback a gamer has when playing a game. Tetris, for example, has a game loop where a random block appears, the gamer interacts with the block to position it, and then the game decides if that finishes a row or not, increases the players score if any rows were completed, then gives the gamer another block to position. Counter-Strike has a game loop where a player seeks another player, tests their skill against that player by shooting them or being shot, the computer rewards the player if they win, and then if the player survives, they repeat that loop. There's no loop here, no true interactive feedback. It simply is not a game, it cannot be "played". This has misleadingly been launched in the "Games" section of Steam instead of the "Software" section. This is a common mistake for developers who are new to Steam, or don't understand the difference between games and software which isn't a game. It seems this software published incorrectly as a game is simply lack of experience/knowledge of the correct process. Here's a link for the process to publish non-game software on Steam: Steam Developer Help With Software Publishing It's unfortunate this process was not known about/followed, resulting in a software application being published in the wrong place. Publishing things which aren't games on Steam in the Games section as games is misleading to gamers and somewhat harmful, because it pollutes the Steam marketplace and takes away visibility and market exposure for genuine game developers who do the right thing and make games for gamers. There are no gameplay loops in this software, no "gameplay", no meaningful game like interaction. It's a software application and as such has no merits as a video game for gamers. Because of this, I cannot recommend this non-game software as a game to gamers.
This is a weird experience... as it should be as its representing one of Salvador Dali paintings. You move by gazing towards some spheres and get teleported to them so you can view the environment from different points of view. Really worth staying in each spot for a couple of minutes, the sense of size is great and the whole weirdness deserves a recommendation. Watching the long legged elephants alone was worth it. Makes me wish other paintings of his got a similar app.
Was impressive demo at the time and still worth playing because of how short (and free) it is
I enjoy the art of Dali and this is a Dari experience that i am sure the Artist would have loved, its not long, but it is free, and works very well on my oculus quest 2. very enjoyable, would like to see more like this!
