About
You wake up nowhere, with no body.
In fact, less than that,
You feel all the different parts of yourself have been torn away and thrown to the wind.
You stand and look ahead,
Not even knowing how you're standing without a form.
Before you is a beautiful haven, but you're no fool, you know a gilded cage when you see one.
Time to pull yourself together.
After the events of After Light Fades, the alchemist Aura was left devastated. Sniffing out her shadowy vulnerability across space and time, the cosmic parasite Star Haven swallowed her up into its world of illusion.
Star Haven dismembered Aura's being – her hands, feet, eyes, mind and heart – and cast them away, and now it slowly digests its host with serene detachment as she struggles to re-member herself.
Upon waking inside Star Haven, and being ever the masterful alchemist, Aura condenses her last remaining mana into a time node, to set up a time loop as a last resort for her perilous search for a way to escape this dreamy illusion.
Dream of the Star Haven is a 1st person giant-leap platformer with a side-scrolling 2.5D platformer and a sokoban puzzler nested inside its time-loop structure (time-loop gameplay coming soon in early access).
A unique hybrid of exploration, puzzling and combat - a magical odyssey through the being known as Star Haven, where you soar gracefully and eventually even bend gravity itself to your will, giving you the power to literally turn the dreamlike world upside-down in search of the missing parts of yourself and a way out of the illusory parasitic world of Star Haven.
At each repeat of the time-loop, learn what is lost and what is kept, and strategise your own non-linear way forward, to eventually confront the great parasite itself and transcend its strange world.
Embrace the joy and melancholy of a strangely harmonious yet subtly twisted journey, as you reach toward a higher dream of the Star Haven!
Thank you to Orchid of Redemption for the Steam code!
I enjoyed streaming this game and let me tell everyone about it! https://www.youtube.com/live/sCoGdhXK60c?si=G0sTZ4NrB04neGX6 Playing through I really appreciated that the dev team provides a way for people who easily get motion sick, like myself, a method to help play the game without or with minimal effects...so kudos to the team for this! I enjoyed my current time of the Early Access and have 100% all current levels at the time of me writing this review (4th, February, 2024) I love the simplistic sky island format and I think the levels look nice, the layout of the tasks per level provides a good challenge and some like the orbs (IYKYK) can be quite annoying, but manageable...The new challenge level (Vast Chamber) was a fresh level as the space around you was the first variation in design and I hope for more of this in the future, cause though I did enjoy the designs, when playing the first levels before Vast Chamber, it started to get repetitive, looking at the same sky with the same islands...even so much as a 3 island chain in level 2 being identical to the same island chain (even in the same location) as level 4, and because of some of these similarities, it got easy to confuse myself where I actually was in some parts of some levels. However, one great thing that does keep things fresh in the repetitive-ness of the game is the new mechanics as the levels progress; bounce bubbles, rotating the world, rotating structures, etc...This does help find creative ways to place objectives in creative spots, making 100%ing the game much more of a mental challenge then the game initially looks, which to me personally is a great thing. I think with where the game stands, I would probably place the game at a solid 6/10, definitely not a bad game, but with where we have it, its quite repetitive in design and in performance...BUT! With the release of Vast Chamber alone, kicks this up for me to a solid 6.8/10, and after talking with someone on the Orchid of Redemption staff, I got a hinting towards some awesome things in the future for this game, and so I'm excited and there is definitely room for this game to grow and get a better rating :D All that being said, I'd still recommend this game for those who like these types of games, and if you ever get the chance to chat with the dev team, you'll know they are pretty awesome and very hard working and I just want to shout them out here, cause they are doing great work!
C'est pas le plus fun, mais le jeu fait passer le temps.

A peaceful and, quite pretty, Indie Puzzle Platformer. My biggest fear in life is falling, I've done it too many times IRL, so this game gets to me *just* enough to not be able to binge-play it, but I think any normal person won't have any issue at all. Found the levels to be a decent challenge, and the ambiance was great. The layering of puzzles makes it even better, and am decently surprised that it's a free-to-play game. If you're into this genre and looking for a more peaceful approach to it, definitely one to be enjoyed. Watch the Full Review + Gameplay here: https://youtu.be/AcGLeug1-ZA
Не иронично, но довольно-таки атмосферная игрушка
