This game gave me cancer and put me into a mental institution.
MAIN COMPLAINT to climb up when on a ledge you HAVE TO PRESS "W" and not space bar... this will cramp your hand like crazy... Other-than that Insanely fun, music is on point, the game play feels like only up, There's commentary every time you fall!!!! sometimes the game slows down time so it can make fun of you and there's nothing you can do to stop it. The difference between easy mode and hard mode, is Hard mode has a banger soundtrack! There's some glitchy moments that occur when you climb up from an object (you can phase through it, and die) Look at the TV to see the controls, the controls are not mappable (fine it is what it is) FOR A SOLO dev game, its pretty good! 8/10 (because my poor wittle hand hurts from pressing W) I would recommend it to others.
Dream Island is a lot of fun. Its like only up but with more game play mechanics, assets that are original, and theirs voice acting instead of tts. Although it has improved and added features that only up dosnt have, there is still alot of room for improve. Such as when you fall into the water, you die, and it takes about ten seconds to finally get back to game play because of cut scenes and a menu glitch. There is also mantling which is a great concept but double clicking space bar can feel abit tedious after awhile. Cool game though, do recommend getting it.
Really fun game! it's hard and frustrating, but the pay off is worth it when you make good progress. Tight controls, nicely made considering it's a one man operation! Nice visuals and atmosphere. Highly recommend if you want a challenge and like games similar to Only Up! or Getting Over It with Bennett Foddy. Will you rage or feel anxious? Yes, but that's part of the experience! 10/10 would fall again.

If you've already played a similar game and formed an opinion about the genre, this one will not change your mind. The gameplay remains same and does not introduce anything new to the genre. Your only task is to reach the top. Although the genre shares many similarities with platformers in that you only have movement controls and the ability to jump, the overall difficulty is increased due to the small platforms. Most of the time, there's hardly enough space for your feet. Your character can hold onto the edges of platforms, but you must be quite near for this to work. Launch pads act as shortcuts, but they’re usually risky to use because you don’t know how far you’re going to get thrown. There are two maps that look nearly identical. I recommend that you only play the first island and avoid the second one. The difference is in platform layout and additional aspects that make things far more difficult and nerve-racking. The first island features only precision jumping, while the second island has projectiles and opponents that throw you off platforms. Except for the starting platform, water is all over the stage. What I dislike is the death and game over screen when you fall into the water. Instead of simply respawning at the start, you must watch a short animation every time you want to play. The game makes it very easy for you if you just want achievements. Both unlock the moment you start the game.
This being the Developers first game its really well built, if you enjoy tough soul crashing games that make you feel really good when you beat that area/boss you were having a hard time on, then I recommend this game for you!! Give it a try its only 6 bucks
i want to die
Is a brutally fun game to try. highly recommend to give it a try and if you are a streamer its great content!
Did this on Indie (rage) Friday stream and was pretty solid rage game! Well.. Or as dev said "its not a rage game if you're good" so prepare to be roasted inside of the game and in some cases outside of the game. xD Anyway go check it out! worth 4 euros, maybe one day I'll be good enough to actually finish the game. :D
