i want kurt and baba yaga on top of me STAT !!!!!!!!
This game is amazing. I love the lore and how the entire story is explored. I like the different routes, I like how you have to do different things or talk to different people to get certain items that you need to progress throughout the game and get certain endings without dying. I also enjoy that you can start with all of the items for both of the puzzles (fuse box and oven ones) when you start NG+. I'm wondering if we might get a third game for this series, exploring how Baba Yaga and Kurt were when they got along all those years ago. Very fun game, good jumpscares, great sequel, I love everything about it! <3
Picking up for round 2 right after Cooking Companions - Dread Weight is another experience off the menu with a different palette taste. More focused on story choice and the dread of inventory management it is definitely a different feel from its predecessor while standing strong on its own two legs. The cast of characters here are so vastly different in each other’s strengths and storylines it allows every run through to explore more. 10/10!
Loved the first game, loved Dread Weight, but I don't understand anything of what's happening. lol I just know that it's very compelling, so compelling that I don't understand the story.
Super fun visual novel with lots of twists. Wasn't what I would call a "horror" game as much as a thriller mystery. Finding all the different endings are super fun and people you don't expect to trust end up being helpful. Highly recommend.
amazing game.
Very cozy, nice soundtrack, cute talking animals and people are dying, pretty ^^
It's a really good game. I enjoyed the story, the gameplay is good, and the art is amazing! I would say the story goes by very fast, but that isn't really a problem. Overall great game that I and one of my friends really enjoyed on call. The puzzles are easy if you have the stuff, and it's very replayable.
Finally played this game as a distraction from something. It was a good evening and it successfully distracted me. The setting of the place and buildup is cool, but the execution of everything could have been handled wayyy better. The story felt semi too quick paced and confusing, especially if you have played CC before and want to see that content. Like, a big event happens not even twenty minutes in I thought was just exclusive to the demo but nope that lightning fast danger is kept there too. The game seems to have traded its tension horror from CC into jumpscares, jumpscares that I only flinched at one. I didn't feel as connected to these characters, especially
because one of them dies near immediately
. I did definitely feel the tension from Kurt (I went 'anyone but Kurt' at one point) but I didn't really have a favourite out from the other three. Seeing the previous protag/now turned antag was cool, but from what she was built up to be in CC, this iteration didn't do the same job. Overall I'd say I prefer CC compared to this, but it's not a bad game at all. If you want a fun evening, this is what you can get
Outside of an oopsie while playing the game, I have really enjoyed this and Cooking Companions. I hope to see more of this series! I look forward to seeing more from Deer Dream Studios!
