About
Control two cute dragons at the same time in a voluminous puzzle game.
"DragonMirroreD" is a puzzle + adventure game featuring two dragons, Hyoga and Magma, who are trapped in a mysterious house.
The house contains over 300 puzzle "rooms". Once inside the "rooms," Hyoga and Magma will move symmetrically.
The puzzle is cleared when all of the orbs, called crystals, with various characteristics in the "rooms" are picked up.
Many unique gimmicks may block your way. Sometimes you have to use them against them to solve the puzzle.
When you get tired of solving puzzles, check out the ones around there like in RPG games, and you will enjoy the relaxed exchange between the two dragons.
You may even find out the identity of the mysterious house.
After entering the "House of Mystery," Hyoga and Magma find a door inside the "House of Mystery". Once inside the door, they are transported to a mysterious space. From there, the "mirror-image" puzzle begins.
Hyoga and Magma move symmetrically.
(During the puzzle, you control Hyoga. Magma moves in conjunction with Hyoga's movements.)
Using blocks to shift the positions of Hyoga and Magma, collect the crystals (orbs on pedestals) in the room. The puzzle is completed when all the crystals are collected.
There are several types of crystals.
The black crystal can be taken by either Hyoga or Magma touching it.
The blue crystal (diamond-shaped symbols) can be taken by touching both Hyoga and Magma at the same time.
The red crystals (heart-shaped symbols) can be taken by touching the red crystals separately by Hyoga and Magma.
There are also many gimmicks that interfere or help with the puzzle.
Light blue switches lower light blue fences and make them passable.
Purple switches build bridges and make holes passable.
The cracked glass floor can only be ridden once.
Even when they do appear, they will be explained, and the game will go through a tutorial before being applied.
I have also confirmed that it works on Windows 11.

Reviews
This game is a made with love. It's trying its best, and it's doing a great job at it, even if it trips up every now and again. It starts slowly, and has a tendency to overexplain everything that happens, both story-wise and gimmick-wise. This helps to make sure you understand the mechanics, but it can be a bit much. I highly recommend being understanding of these if you want to take the most enjoyment from the title. Similarly the English definitely trips up frequently. Wrong word here, wrong tense there, some weird phrasing elsewhere still. It's common, but it's also minor and vast majority of the time I could tell what the intent was, even if the language failed me. But if you're able to squint your eyes past those small things, this is a delightful little puzzler. While they start trivial, the puzzles ramp up in difficulty and complexity over time. New gimmicks (mechanics) are introduced even after you "finish the game" which I found quite surprising. The only thing missing is an undo button, but that's a limitation of the engine (RPGMaker) and the devs provided a slightly convoluted workaround named "Control Log" that works well enough (instead of undoing a move, your moves are remembered and you can redo them after restarting a room after a fail) On top of the genuinely pleasant puzzling experience, I've also thoroughly enjoyed interacting with every. single. object. Discounting chairs and large decor like pillars/trees, almost everything spread around the world - pots, barrels, bookcases, fridges, vending machines; you name it - is interactable with a unique(!) line of dialogue. There must be like a hundred different messages for interacting with pots, because each one has a different line that goes from talking about its appearance, sometimes referencing other media, and occasionally just dragons being baffled why the other one is so fascinated by pots. It's delightful, and every time I enter a new area I first interact with everything I can before even touching the puzzles. Despite the quirky language, it's a great time. I'm not a fan of the RPGMaker style and games made with it, but this one was a good time, and only partially because it has dragons as the protagonists. It's not a must-play puzzle game, but if you like puzzles, dragons, and maybe have a passing interest in Japanese culture; this game has it all.
(Quick Review Update after 100%'ing V2.0.0 - Game is still great in all the ways discussed before! The additions in V2.0.0 are also nice and cool!) [Review Update 14th Nov 2024 After 100% and 29.6 Hours] This game is very awesome and amazing, it has to be one of my favourites now! This is the kind of game I've wanted to see on Steam for years!! I'll be sure to let people who I think will like this game know of it It's a fun singleplayer (puzzle) game with a humanoid dragon protagonist (or in this case two of them!) and fun story elements You can tell that good heart and soul has gone into the making this game via the dialogue, such as the dialogue you get when looking at objects The interactions with objects are quite varied and I like how a lot of them give extra characterisation to the protagonists (also a decent amount of interesting stuff to learn/know generally too at least for me) The puzzles are fun, can be challenging and there's a lot of them! The price of the game is very good and so if you like puzzles or dragon characters you should check it out, doubly so if you like both (like I do)! ⚠️Word of Caution though, the game tends to freeze sometimes (not all the time but roughly every few hours I've tended to have one occur), so make sure to save often (I tend to save after every puzzle or every other one if they're really short) (Old review done after 5 hours in comments)
It isn't too difficult, but it is a nice puzzle game with some cute lore. It does have a tutorial that feels like an easy game with an ending, a denser middle part with a real ending, and a hard last part with a true ending. Good job!
It's an RPG Maker game machine translated from Japanese, so adjust your expectations accordingly. If you're OK with the presentation, this is a clever little puzzle game with a good difficulty curve, gradually adding new mechanics and explaining them well. Even with the somewhat awkward translation, the puzzles themselves do a good job of teaching you how each element works. The puzzles aren't overly long either, so there are a lot of them (300 in this version of the game), which is good for variety and also keeps them from being painful if you have to restart one. $5 is an excellent price for that much content.
This game is fun. It's a charming puzzle game with no shortage of challenge that has some cute side content if you go checking every little thing like I did. I got the game when it was on sale and I still would have paid full price for it. It's a fun, dare I say cute game. Would highly recommend.
99
