Unable to play because it runs awful... Game has NO visual or audio settings, NONE! This is unacceptable
Unplayable. Has no settings, the motion blur is so intense, it feels like you have alcohol poisoning.
I just finished this minigame and I liked it! The story is based on concepts that you are not used to seeing in video games every day, such as plastic surgery or interaction between the fan community. Quite an original idea. The game ends relatively quickly, I took 1 hour and 20 minutes, it would be nice if it lasted longer since the story can give more of itself, but for the price it has it's very good!
While the game does have some technical issues I will definitely recommend this game. Its a short, sweet, to the point thriller. Its not breaking any new ground concept wise but its execution is good and the overall design is well done. Now on to the issues. The game suffers from severe performance issues from unknown sources. My guess is that a lot of the geometry and post-processing is simply at whatever values they had as default. One instance of extreme framerate drop came when I picked up the flowers on the table and turned them so the flower was near my face. The framerate dropped to single digits. I am on an 11th gen I5 with 32GB of ram and a RTX3060. The general performance is lacking in most areas of the house and everything seems buried under a dozen or so layers of post-processing effects. My advice to the developer is this: This is a great game at a great price for a short, well executed, interesting experience. Polish the performance. Heavily. This could be a breakout hit.
Brilliant game that I loved start to finish. I am not big on scary games but I had to keep playing because I wanted to figure out the mystery. Loved it
Solid horror game for the price. I finally decided to play through the whole game despite the huge performance issues I was experiencing and I'm happy to report that the performance did increase significantly after the first scene. It started out at around 25fps and it eventually got to about 60-70 fps and remained stable until the end of the game (RTX 2080 Ti, 2560x1440). Genre-wise this is "apartment horror", a subgenre of psychological horror first brought forth by Roman Polanski and most likely inspired by Hitchcock classics. The game also gives off some giallo-esque vibes. The denouement of the story was somewhat predictable but every set piece is very well crafted and executed. This is the first game by the director of the 2018 Netflix horror film CAM and I hope it's not going to be his last.
This was fun (:
