Never thought I'd say that in my life but dust cleaner into mop combo goes crazy. Cool concepts and designs for a short & fast-paced game.
Dorothy's Job is the absolute best free game I've ever played. That said, don't let the simple presentation fool you. This game is actually pretty difficult, and if you're bad at games, you're probably going to struggle with it. I know I certainly had moments where it pushed me harder than I expected. The challenge is part of what makes it so satisfying though. For a completely free game, I was genuinely impressed by how engaging and polished the experience felt. I can't recommend it enough.

Score: 6/10

Art: Fine, nothing remarkable. The overall presentation works, but character sprites could use sharper definition and clearer silhouettes during gameplay.
Music: Adequate. The main theme is pleasant enough, but the soundtrack as a whole isn’t memorable. Some sound effects, especially in the main menu, can be quite irritating and detract from the experience.
Story: Simple and lightly humorous. Dialogue is serviceable but lacks weight, and the characters feel straightforward and somewhat underdeveloped.
Gameplay: Entertaining but modest. There’s an acceptable variety of weapons and items, though enemy variety is limited. The core loop works, but it never rises above “solid but standard.”
Overall Experience: It’s a fine way to pass the time, and its lightweight nature makes it easy to try without hesitation. Still, it doesn’t offer much that stands out, and the appeal rests largely on the fact that there’s no real barrier to giving it a shot. If it required more commitment, its flaws would be much harder to overlook.
Dorothy's Job is one of those games where the basic idea immediately made me smile. I am playing as Dorothy, a ridiculously muscular maid who has to keep an evil mastermind's mansion clean while also dealing with enemies trying to get in her way. Instead of using normal weapons, I am cleaning everything with things like mops and vacuum cleaners that have been turned into weapons. It is a silly idea, but I think the game understands exactly what it is going for and never tries to take itself too seriously. The shooting is easily the best part for me. It is an isometric twin stick shooter, so I am constantly moving around while aiming at enemies and trying to keep control of the room. The cleaning tools give the combat its own personality, and I like that I am basically turning ordinary household equipment into ridiculous weapons. There is something quite satisfying about running around a room with a mop while clearing out enemies and dirt at the same time. It makes the combat feel different enough from a normal twin stick shooter. I also like the way cleaning is actually part of the gameplay rather than just being a joke in the story. I am not simply killing everything and moving on, because I also have to deal with the dirt around the levels. That gives me another reason to explore the rooms properly instead of rushing straight towards the enemies. The levels are procedurally generated, so the layout changes and I cannot completely rely on memorising one route. I think that works well for a game that is built around quick arcade style runs. The comedy is another thing I enjoyed. Dorothy herself is such an over the top character that the whole situation becomes funny without needing a complicated story. Having an incredibly muscular maid running around an evil mansion with cleaning equipment is already ridiculous, and the game leans into that idea instead of trying to make it serious. The colourful cartoon style also fits really well, and I think the presentation does a good job of keeping the game feeling energetic and light. The main problem for me is that the gameplay loop can start feeling repetitive after a while. The basic idea of cleaning rooms while fighting enemies is fun, but there is only so much variety I can get from the same structure before I start wanting more. I would have liked a larger selection of cleaning weapons and more ways to change how Dorothy plays. The procedural generation helps keep the layouts from being exactly the same, but changing the rooms around cannot completely replace having more substantial gameplay variety. I also think the game works better as a quick arcade experience than something I would sit and play for hours at a time. It is free to play and built around short sessions, so I can jump in, clean up a new level and then come back another day. There are also a lot of Steam achievements to work towards, which gives me some extra goals once I have already become familiar with the main gameplay. I like that approach because the game does not pretend to be something much bigger than it actually is. Overall, I had a good time with Dorothy's Job. The cleaning theme gives the shooting a funny identity, the procedurally generated levels help keep the runs fresh and Dorothy herself makes the whole thing memorable. I think the biggest thing holding it back is that the core loop could use more variety, especially with more weapons, enemies and different situations to deal with. Still, the game is colourful, funny and genuinely enjoyable to play, and being free makes it very easy for me to recommend giving it a try. It is a simple idea, but I think it executes that idea well enough to stand out. Rating: 7.4/10
Buenísimo, fácil de entender y entretenido de jugar, con mecánicas muy nuevas.

Después de varias horas jugando, solo puedo decir, que odio los slimes morados. No consigo pasar del nivel 6. Pero soy malisimo so.... git gud.
