Doomsday Paradise

What started as a cheap game to try out with friends turned into an obsession. The combat is fun, the characters are compelling, and the jokes and story are endearing and comedic. I'm 75 hours into what I thought would be a 3 or 4 hour game, and I honestly don't regret a second of it. Cannot recommend this enough.

It's very funny. I love the writing. I would love to see a show or read a manga with this wacky cast of characters. I don't think it holds up as a party game or a game for more than 2 people because there is quite a bit of reading and it ends up not being a very social experience. The think the combat/card game has room to grow with variety and strategy. It gets repetitive and I really wish I could fast-forward Banjo Frog's turns. I also wish that I had more control over the possible endings. I want to see more but they are difficult to find and not always available. There are also some UI/quality of life issues that could use polishing, such as being able to see the quest menu at the beginning of the day. I also wish that getting an ending would allow you to re-read the ending on the collection page, not just show the picture.

Super cosy and fun dating sim. Conceptually it is pretty similar to monster prom, but I think it is unfair to judge this game on how similar it is to monster prom. I think it stands strongly on its own. This game does have stat raising aspect, but it actually matters, because you have to fight enemies and the boss at the end of the run (unless you'd rather party - I'm sure someone else will deal with apocalypse). There are some stat checks, but very few of them and failing them doesn't feel punishing. Card game mechanic makes each run more interesting and fun - you have to keep your stats balanced, but also manage inventory and your party. The battle mechanic is easy to understand and pretty easy to win once you understood the basics (unless your enemy is that limb..spider..thing or you're playing on hardcore, then good fkng luck). Writing is fun, characters are cute and interesting and there's a lot of endings - some are fun, some are ridiculous, a lot of the are cute and some are bittersweet. Ending images are made by different artists, which can be a bit confusing (different styles and all), but it makes unlocking new ones more interesting - you never know what image you'll get. By the way, even though ending image stays the same, writing of the ending changes depending if you won the final battle or not. Music is nice to listen to and doesn't get annoying on replays. The only way I can describe it is country club music with some lofi sprinkle. And to all my fellow completionist - the grind is not too annoying or time consuming. There is some tricky RNG and one event has ridiculous requirements to trigger, but it is doable. Overall, I enjoyed my time doing 100%. And since many people like to leave reviews like "boo, its like monster prom light, boo its like mp at home", here's my take - maybe I don't always want nonstop absurd and absolute fkng chaos. Sometimes I want just some cosy, wholesome chaos. And this game is perfect for that.

I received this as a gift from a friend (not a test or sponsorship with the dev/pub). Another streamer and I played this with a couple of our moderators for a 12+ hour charity stream, and it was so fun. We just kept playing. The game really understands the players, so much so that we'd frequently make a joke about the game, only to have the game make the same joke on the next screen. The combination of dating sim mechanics with RPG features was really original and very well executed. We all agreed we want to play this game more in the future, somthing I never do with traditional dating sims.

Hilarious writing and interesting characters that have unique personalities. Enemies fit the difficulty that you choose, so if you choose "Vacation", battles will be pretty easy. Also please let me date Cthulhu's daughter, she's adorable and I love her

Honesty one of the best party games I have every played. The game has so much more depth than at first glance. I would personally recommend this game to all my friends.

A really fun game to play with both friends and alone! I originally played with a friend and bought it for myself the second we were done. The characters are super fun, gameplay is similar to Monster Prom with an RPG twist, and it's just a great time!
