DOOM Eternal has got to be one of the best FPS games I've ever played. It's mechanics are easy to learn, yet hard to master, requiring the knowledge of weak points on enemies, how specific weapon mods function, and always moving is the absolute key to survival in arena like areas. Some things aren't perfect though, like how marauders are just waiting for their shields to lower so you can shoot them, plus the fact they're placed in later sections in the game alongside other demons gets annoying. In my opinion, they should have been saved as a special encounter at the end of a normal one when you kill all of the demons, so it's you vs him. Other than them, the game itself is genuinely addicting to play and it's so much fun playing through each of the levels. It sometimes mixes up the pacing a bit by having sections in between the arenas, like misc areas with some demons to face, some platforming, and a little bit of exploration in order to find secrets. Overall, I absolutely love this game. I will also update this review once I beat The Ancient Gods Pt. 1 and 2 and go over it as well.
