This feels like an untested, unpolished, not optimised port of a mobile or console game. The first sign for that is, that during character creation you have a keyboard on screen, which you can navigate with an invisible mouse cursor or the arrow keys. At least the physical keyboard also works. But the in game controls are on some other level of bs. Esc doesn't close menus, you have to use backspace. Why? For users of non English keyboards y and z are swapped. Not too bad, just change it, right? Wrong! I don't know if it's laziness or arrogance but this is one game with the great design choice of not letting the player adjust the controls to their needs. At least there is an option to make the cursor visible. Buuut it doesn't work. Alright, the game still looks nice and might me fun after I've gotten used to the worlds second dumbest set of controls. So I started playing. The first quest is do buy supplies. For some you get a recommended amount, for other you don't. Guys.. It's two minutes into the game, how should anyone know, what to do? But ok, just buy some and hope it'll be enough. While moving around the island there is a graphical design, which is odd and i personally absolutely hate: The character is not centred on the screen. So every time you switch directions the camera jerks around to adjust for the distance. Headache aside, let's move on. The next quest is to complete all construction on your island. Feels like a quest for way later, as you don't have the cash to do it. Alright.. then..set off to the sea? Living the pirate life? Don't know. After selecting the next island on the map using the invisible cursor the game crashed. All in all one of the worst gaming experiences I've had in a while and I really regret not having tested this game earlier, so I'd be eligible for a refund. Please devs.. this game looks absolutely charming and has a lot of potential I'd like to explore. Centre the character and make these damn controls free to change. WASD QE and mouse is a standard most people find pleasant.

Bof.
Its an ok game but later on its nigh impossible to do anything since every single enemy is scalled on the same level or further then you. Would not recommend until they fix this.
One of those gems, where the game's idea and mechanics are well executed, well coded, and well designed. Runs using low resources, so not only is it easily accessible to all platforms but, also optimized to do so. Because of this its a great game to play. Great job to the game dev(s), hoping you make another title. Well done.
Les moins : - ultra répétitif - pas de challenge : vous allez gagner, et tout écraser sur votre passage. Aucun suspens. - trop cher en l'état.
niye aldığımı bilmiyorum ama zevkli bir 8-bit korsan oyunu
Loved it. It's a really good, charming game. Quite simple but very fun and entretaing. Hope more people discovers this lovely gem
This game doesn't have much going on, and what it does have going is too raw imo The writing is extremely simple, every time you do a mission your next time at sea will have your crew saying "Wow, you sure did that mission, captain!" as they recite the blow by blow of what you literally just did Ship battles are hard right up until you find out you can just demand the opposing captain 1v1 you and you can essentially stunlock them by spamming a single attack, *and this is more profitable than winning ship fights legitimately* You can become some sort of pirate overlord and take over cities, but city "combat" is literally just a numbers game where you need to pass a crew count gate and then it randomly generates how many of your crew died in the endeavor before giving you the town, meaning there isn't even any sort of minigame there Works well on the steam deck, but also there just doesn't feel like there's much point to it all
I'm not Fan personally. looks way better in the store page clips.
