About
[Don't] Let Go is a quiet, emotional and atmospheric 3D Action-Adventure Puzzle game. Bound to a mysterious entity by a powerful connection you must work together to solve puzzles, defeat enemies and escape the ancient city.

Narrative:
You will venture to an ancient and mostly abandoned city located deep within a crater on a journey to see whether the forgotten city is inhabitable for your wandering tribe. Here you will find a mysterious cube with a destructive past that latches onto you, forming a symbiotic rope-like connection. You must use this new found friend to escape the city by solving its many puzzles, avoiding its many threats and allowing the cube to grow.
However… all is not as it seems… As the cube grows, it will start to slowly act like an anchor weighing you down and making your escape almost impossible. Do you have what it takes to flee the cursed land…
Progression:
On your journey you and the mysterious cube will venture to regain its long lost power. By revisiting churches from a past era you can upgrade the cubes power, allowing it to grow in size and strength enabling you to reach new areas and solve more complex puzzles. However... as the cube grows so does its ability to prevent your escape, can you really leave it behind?
Goals and Challenges:
After successfully locating and abandoned city with potential to be your tribes new home you find yourself unable to leave, the exit blocked by two ancient tentacles. Together with your cube venture to different points in the city to destroy the tentacles, allowing you to flee the cursed land.
Along the way, subordinates of the tentacle will attempt to sever your connection with the cube, imprisoning you both and preventing your escape. Fight multiple different enemy types, forcing you to use the cube in unique ways to defeat them all.
Solve ancient puzzles to unlock new areas and progress through the city on your journey to leave with your new friend.
Primary Game Mechanic:
After discovering the cube it forms a unique bond to you, forming a symbiotic rope like connection between the two. Acting like an anchor, the cube and this ancient connection will prevent you from moving far without it, holding you back and limiting your journey. As you go further from the cube your energy will decrease and reliance on it will increase forcing you to stay near it and maintain your energy.
The cube is your primary weapon throughout the journey, by throwing it at enemies knock them back and eventually vanish them to push forward and find a way out of the city. The cube can also be thrown at objects allowing you to alter the environment and solve puzzles to progress further.
Knowing its true power the mystical enemies will try to take the cube from you and return it to the prison from which you found it. Your goal is to protect it and keep it safe, stunning, hitting and defeating all the enemies that block your path and threaten its safety
Playtime:
On average it takes new players 1 hour and 30 minutes to beat the game for the first time. At the end of each playthrough you are rewarded with a picture to showcase your achievement. There are 5 of these to collect based on challenges within the game, have fun and good luck!
Disclaimers:
This is a student game made by 6 people for our final major project at Birmingham City University (2 Designers, 2 Programmers, 1 Artist, 1 Sound Designer). The game is finished and takes a new player around an hour and a half to beat.

Let me begin with [This game is a bad game] But it isn't bad in the sense you may be thinking. Animations are clunky, movement feels weird, character animations are awkward and doesn't feel right, the list could go on. It feels like someone decided to take a crack at making a game for their first time. However you can see the love in the game, and the vision behind it. So while i would say its a bad game from a technical perspective, the vision behind it and what they were trying to convey allow for you to look past those flaws so long as you understand this isn't a AAA game. I recommend this only on the basis of seeing something that looks like the love for making the game was there but the expertise behind making it wasn't just quite there yet. hopefully the game will receive future updates to fix these kinds of things.
I was on board with how bad and clunky it is until I saw that it's made by like 5 or so people in a team. This is really difficult and unfun to play, only redeeming quality I saw is main character's model. While it's standing still, because animations are terrible too

everything is very bad, the physics and animation are the worst
The character uncontrollably starts to masturbate whenever I want to move the cube towards me. NSFW.
[Don't] Let Go is a 3D puzzle platformer. The game has an amazing, From Soft-esque atmosphere and art. However, the platforming is a bit janky and the combat is even janky-er. Despite my criticisms, I enjoyed what I played especially for the low price of free and the fact that this was a student project; I'd say the team and the people on it, show quite the potential.
самая худшая механика стамины, которую я когда-либо видел вообще не рекомендую, если ты любишь хорошие игры садомиты оценят
Fun little game, I enjoyed my play through. I look forward to seeing what you make next. :) Side note: I would make the stamina regenerate a little faster as it felt like there was quite a lot of waiting for it to refill.
Sooo, this game is janky if played on keyboard (I didn't play on gamepad so idk is it any better). The camera is.. very uncomfortable. Especially in tight spaces, where it becomes nearly uncontrollable, or when it becomes fixed BUT DOESN'T ALIGN WITH LEVEL so if you will go just left you will fall. Animations are not very good as well, combat is strange, climbing is just bad. BUT this game is still fun! some puzzles are interesting, the reuse of some locations really helps the immersion, and if you accept the issues the platforming and combat may become fun as well. My favorite part of the game was trying to figure out how to get achievements and finding skips/speedrun tactics/bugs. Overall, I really liked this game, and I do recommend you to play it if you can tolerate the flaws and like this genre! 7/10
