DomiCard

Very meh domino game. Dont bother. Im on a quest of at least trying every game in my library, of which I got plenty from all kinds of bundles, not all though. If you are interested in my journey, check out my other reviews :)

Игра DomiCard — это простая и увлекательная карточная игра с элементами стратегии. Отличается яркой графикой, легким управлением и быстрым темпом. Подходит для коротких партий в одиночку или с друзьями. Плюсы: разнообразие карт, возможность создать собственную колоду, социальный аспект. Минусы: ограниченный выбор режимов и реклама. Для любителей лёгкого досуга — отличный выбор, но не выделяется среди других карточных проектов.

"DomiCard" is not really a game, certainly it's not "dominoes", the competitive game of matching the little numbers on the tiles. This is a non-game sandbox with no gameloops, all you do is arrange virtual dominoes then knock them down, that's it. In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low poly 3D graphics which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad looking games. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 4 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough. If you can even call this a game.

A sandbox game for putting dominoes with no restriction, it gives what promises but has a lot of potential to be a far better game. The models, gameplay and OST works well toguether, but i believe that developing more backgrounds and visual aspect would be a great way to feel like a kid playing around the house rather than feeling of a "machine that simulates dominoes". Even if it's just a minimalist sandbox, it would be neat to have challenges and different gamemodes with different OSTs for each of them. In conclusion, I recommend anyone to try it out if you're into "physical games".
