About
DitherDream is a trippy little exploration game set across an archipelago of strange islands. Each island is a unique handcrafted explorable puzzle. Understanding each island allows you to transcend it, and reach deeper into The Archipelago.
When you begin, The Nest will have a single portal to a single island. However, the islands are all connected, and visiting one often allows you to create a permanent portal to it. Soon, your nest will be a garden of dozens of portals as you probe every corner of The Archipelago.
DitherDream controls like a typical first person game, and is generally enjoyable by those of all skill levels. The player must follow environmental clues to locate four objects on each island, and then click to attune to them. Upon the third attunement, a portal will open where the player entered the island, and expand until it covers the entire island. This portal will send the player back to their home, The Nest, if it catches them. The player must therefore plan and execute a path to reach the fourth attunement before the portal catches them.
Every pixel of The Archipelago is alive with bits of motion and flow, and learning to interpret that motion will serve you well. The sun, the water, the wind, and more all seek to guide you to your destination, all you need to do is watch them.
Ditherdream can be quite intense visually. With that in mind, there are settings available in the options menu to change the intensity of the color and motion separately and at any time. If you feel uncomfortable, you are able to tone things down, and if you want more, you can intensify the experience!

Reviews
I bought this game looking for a LSD Dream Emulator-esque experience. In a way, it does have that vibe. More than anything, though, this game is serene. It's a cool, relaxing, psychedelic experience that is definitely worth the $4 price tag for anyone that appreciates video games as an art medium.
A gentle, lovingly hypersaturated 3D platformer playground dripping with psychedelic shaders and chill, beat-free music. Was absolutely my jam from the minute I stumbled across it it, and if the vibes look right on the surface to you, know that your curiosity will be rewarded tenfold. And there are great quality of life features, like a graphical intensity slider, an abstracted "map," helpful restarts, and the ability to turn off the HUD with Tab (for a more immersive experience). Way kinder than games in this niche usually are, and it made the whole experience go down like a DitherDream rather than a DitherNightmare. Recommended, and excited to see what the developer will do next.

Really cool game! Has more "gameplay" than i thought it would, though i wont explain how as figuring it out is part of the fun. Really worth atleast a try. PS: Press TAB to hide the cursor if you want to take some screenshots
Great Vibes!
Beautiful compact art experience! It's a great feeling to just sit with it and wander around the environments, I loved my time with it.
While it seems pretty simple at first, it's a challenging little exploration puzzle game not too dissimilar to LSD for the PS1. Beautiful color palette choice as well.
miasmic distortion or visual conditional epilepsy once in the late 90s from a BBS/WEB i found a software called "FRACTINT 2000" with that you can simulate fractals and do color shifting based on several palettes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0dxM9YVhyw8 a puzzling walking simulation GNU/Linux *~- godot
what a trip
Really fun game, was relaxing and the visuals were quite pretty. I dunno if there were any deeper messages, although I probably wouldn't have gotten them I suppose. Game is pretty and trippy, so have fun!
