About
Disney Dreamlight Valley is a hybrid between a life-sim and an adventure game rich with quests, exploration, and engaging activities featuring Disney and Pixar friends, both old and new.
Once an idyllic land, Dreamlight Valley was a place where Disney and Pixar characters lived in harmony—until the Forgetting. Night Thorns grew across the land and severed the wonderful memories tied to this magical place. With nowhere else to go, the hopeless inhabitants of Dreamlight Valley retreated behind locked doors in the Dream Castle.
Now it’s up to you to discover the stories of this world and bring the magic back to Dreamlight Valley!
Free the Dream Castle from the insidious grip of the Forgetting, and unlock the unique Realms of well-loved Disney and Pixar characters, including great queens and kings such as Anna and Simba. Each Realm contains unique challenges with puzzles to solve in the quest to bring friendship back to the Valley.
You’ll start your adventure in the Valley, but your journey will take you to infinity… and beyond! Explore what lurks in the Forest of Valor and brave the deepest caverns as you take on challenges from iconic Disney and Pixar heroes and villains. Who knows who—or what—you might discover.
Garden with WALL•E, cook with Remy or kick back and fish with Goofy. What better way to collect, craft, and rebuild the Valley than with a friend! From beautiful princesses to nefarious villains, every Dreamlight Valley resident brings their own story arc, quests, and rewards. Meet up in daily hangouts and make friends with some of your favorite Disney and Pixar characters..
Return Dreamlight Valley to its former greatness by making it your own. In Dreamlight Valley, you can build the perfect neighborhood that is just for you with a fully customizable layout, creative landscaping, and thousands of decorative items.
Will you settle on the Beach next to Moana, or call Buzz Lightyear your next-door neighbor in the Plaza?
Bring out your inner princess, villain, or Disney bounder! Assemble unique outfits and decorate your home with thousands of fantastic items. Using the Touch of Magic tool, you can even create your own designs with Disney- and Pixar-inspired decals!
With the in-game Camera, get ready to snap a sunset selfie with Mirabel, capture a culinary creation with Remy, or simply cherish a moment.
New content means that there's always something fresh to explore. Meet new characters in the Valley, check out the latest clothing and furniture collections in Scrooge’s Store, and complete challenging in-game events! Be sure to dream your way back to Dreamlight Valley regularly to discover new adventures!

I stayed away from DDV for a long time thinking "I'm not that much into Disney" "This looks like it's going to be shallow as a puddle" picturing a game where you just walk around with pretty characters, playing poorly designed minigames aimed at 5 year olds, and boy was I wrong ! If you're into cosy games and/or sim games (the sims I mean) regardless of your age or gender, this should be a pleasant surprise for you too. The game has a lot more layers to it : a pretty grown up main story, varied jobs/quests you can do, great customisation & great prop designs, money/points making strategies, some key characters play a part into your progression... It's deliberately built to take you a while to gather enough coins or "dreamshards" (points) but the point of this game is that you play regularly, as little or as much as you can/want. Alot of disney chara's I've never cared for, but DDV made me appreciate them more. Quality of life has improved since earlier years I believe, making it more approachable for children (who might skip and not read) or forgetful adults, such as indicating which are quest/gifts items that should be held onto, "to dos" for quests, and a complete collectables & characters guide to check all the info you need. The game design is a fairly simple loop mind you, not for everybody : you farm, fish, mine, cook, place or gift objects & level-up your friendships the entire time. I didn't mind the consistency, and I feel people who do, might just want to play in shorter bursts. The shop (paid content) can be ignored and they will try and tempt you into it , but it's up to you and how much you enjoy the game if you want to spend some more - The good thing is there are free seasonal events and challenges where you DO get points & rewards for free, just as a way to keep you coming every few months if you decided to put the game down + You might just be able to afford a shop-exclusive item or two after a long time saving up the freebies. + Plays well on steamdeck !
Honestly, this game has helped me retain a bit of whimsy and playfulness in my life through a tough time. Are the quests difficult? Absolutely not. Do you need to go in with this big, huge strategy? Nope. Just log in and have fun with your favorite childhood characters. It's an ugly world out there, we all need a bit of comfort in our lives. <3 The updates stay regular, there are always "star paths"/new puzzles and quests for free, new, and fresh content. There is a buyable game currency to purchase premium content, but it is not needed for the game play.
Fun relaxing cozy game.
If you love Disney and the characters, you will love this game.
Cash grabs with all the DLC's super disappointing - hits the nostalgia and the wallet pretty hard.
listen i love hanging out w disney characters but this is the jankiest game ive ever played and is missing so many vital QoL mechanics and features that i cannot in good faith recommend anyone spend so much money on this game... if you can get this game half off and youre okay with questionable graphics in order to have a non-voice-acted fetch quest adventure with classic disney characters, go for it. i think i would recommend this game if it allowed you to jump, or run without consuming a ton of food, or if food could stack better in the inventories. I also have an additional 100 hours on nintendo switch, and the graphics on that are so bad that they disabled screen recording altogether! if gameplay matters to you, go play Palia. if you're here to vibe out with stitch and merlin, youre in the right place, so long as you forgot your glasses at home.
Se quer passar horas jogando sem perceber, esse é o jogo pra você! Músicas da Disney fazem a nostalgia bater forte!

honestly ♥♥♥♥ with this game heavily, it's chill and reminds me of stardew in a way
