Cute game. Super fun to see the diverse array of Disney characters in your village. I've yet to unlock all of the available non DLC characters. Perfect for players that love constantly having quests to complete. It feels never ending 😅 So much content. I love that there are so many ways to play. Whether it's simply focusing on the story, decorating the valley, collecting items, leveling friendship, or being a dreamsnap enthusiast. For the last one, I will say that it's harder to place in higher ranking if you don't have a bunch of the DLCs that help better decorate to match the themes. But it's still fun to do. They're frequently releasing more characters and objectives so the game doesn't die. I finished the main storyline and am currently taking a break from the game because the quests for character unlocking are starting to be overwhelming (Aladdin and Jasmine's feels never ending 😭). But I know I'll come back to it!

Having been a fan of games like Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon, I first picked up Dreamlight on the Switch on its release and it consumed my time. I always wanted to get a copy for the PC and with the sales recently, I was able to and now with all the expansion packs, more of my time can be consumed! I adore this game. It's art and design. Even though it has a handful of glitches, I still recommend this game to anyone who is not only a fan of Disney but also the game genre. It's a great game to sit back and relax to, allowing you to play at your own pace or be that collector junkie like I am when it comes to gaming!
Aside from the star path and events, there is zero time pressure on the player, with even those going at a leisurely pace. You can procrastinate and chill as much as you'd like in this game, unlocking content at your own pace. And there is a lot of content to unlock, with a never ending list of to-dos at any given time. The crossplay means I can visit my wife's worlds and vice versa, allowing me to give her a huge head start without spoiling the game or gameplay. Great game for kids to play with parents. It is like a book come to life that you get to choose the adventure. The kids can read their character parts and the parents can read the other characters. It is slow enough pace where the children have to search for items that it does not have the same addictive tendencies as some of these games out. Wonderful quality in graphics and lovely storyline. 10/10 would recommend.

Hope you like fetch quests. You'll get fetch quests to set up your fetch quests here. The familiar Disney characters should help this game along, but the poor quest system design, locking even story quests progression behind friendship levels, then adding a ton of extra friends to the game, means you can get stuck not even knowing who to talk to move anything along half the time. Add to that REAL WORLD time constaints (like having to wait 48-72 hours to unlock an area AFTER you've done all the quests for it), and the fact that after 4PM every character in the game will talk non-stop about how tired they are and how you should go to bed, and I can find better ways to occupy my time. Please notice how my review is all run together into one "paragraph" - it fits this game well.
I love this game so so much I now own it on my switch and my pc!
