Does the voice chat in game not work? Second time trying to get it to work and its disappointing to not be able to have the game work properly
Haven't played long but performs well when reflections aren't maxed out and atmosphere is 10/10 for me and my friends. Screaming and dying included. I look forward to seeing progression make its way into the game fully and what these devs have in store.
While the game is still in its early stages, with a number of mechanics not yet present or fully implemented, as a sucker for sci-fi horror I adore this game already. It follows a similar formula to many of the ghost investigation games where the main objectives involve identifying and, later, destroying a growing infection aboard a spaceship. The growing infections produce a number of hazards as it progresses - not just monsters but also loss of power and oxygen (the ability to repair systems to counter this is not fully implemented yet and currently only available to deceased teammates). There are a number of side objectives that can be available which include accessing the ship computer, rescuing crew members and retrieving certain items. The learning curve feels steep at the beginning of the game, and the comparison with other similar games I have played left me unprepared for the much quicker pace - I've been dead within 2 mins of starting and rarely has one game lasted more than 10. The steep learning curve, coupled with the need to purchase weapons to destroy the infections (although, again you can do this while dead without the need for weapons) did make the ability to get to the point of having all the items needed seem like a long and difficult road AT FIRST. However, once we got the hang of the gameplay style the initial fear of getting to that stage soon passed. And, since then, there have already been updates which have made the early stages of the game more new player friendly. The biggest issue I personally find with the game is the clunky feel of using and navigating the PDA, but this does get easier once you get used to it. The manual opening of unpowered doors did use to cause me a few problems too, but this has been improved greatly in the patches earlier this week. I am definitely excited to see the game as more and more features become implemented and becoming just as useful while alive as I am while dead ;)
Neat Game so far. Might do a video. Though it's got a bit of a steep learning curve. I had no idea what the tools were or what they did besides the flame thrower but I used it once and the game crashed, I've had that happen a lot. Lots of improvements needed IMO Don't get me wrong I'm having a blast playing this. - Bad - Clipping can occur, Graphics are set at a bizare screen resolution. Can't seem to interact with certain important mission things. a friend of mine recommended this to me.
actually the worst 10 fps pos game i've played my night was ruined after this one
For the short time I've played Disinfection, got a good feel for it and kind of actually enjoy it! Though I'm not one for scary games myself, boldly shoving my entirety into the infection to make sure it gets hit with the proper tools...absolutely fun! If y'all decide to, definitely play it with friends! Plus, the engine update makes it look even BETTER!
Its not a bad game, FPS is not fully optimized in the current state (Alpha 0.06) the game gives a challenge in its own ways, I have some gripes about how fast the enemy attacks barely giving you time to even identify it some times. It plays closely to G.H. inc where you need to identify and use the proper tools to cure/eliminate the infection/enemy. Using the wrong weapon, the infection spreads fast, i used the wrong tool (was learning the tool) and died within seconds of entering the ship. It will spawn on you and attack you immediately if you use the data weapon. Pros: -Unique space exorcism game -Challenging Cons: -Enemy is far too aggressive (IE: can attack you as soon as you enter the ship) I recommend waiting for a few updates, the game has potential to be great. Also, even if your running a 2060 RTX GPU you will get low frames, can drop from 300 to 20 when looking in some directions. The game is still in very early alpha stages give it time and optimizations will come out.
was a pretty intresting game been playing some off stream and been enjoying it
I'm really looking forward to the full version <3
