In DIRTYBLOCK, the user needs to control a small platform. It moves across the entire lower part of the game space. The platform needs to constantly hit the ball to prevent it from falling. The main purpose of the application is to destroy all the bricks.

Worst arkanoid ever. Just waste of money, dont buy it!
Warning: Asset Flip!
DIRTYBLOCK is an asset flip, what Valve calls a "fake game". The "developer", SMT Ent., took a template from the godawful GameMaker Studio from YoyoGames, slapped a couple of asset flipped sprites on it, and dumped the results onto Steam as a cash grab scam. What's notable about this is that it's just HotFoodGames/GreatHopeStudio/ImperiumGame, but they've made a whole new developer account, SMT Ent. But their MO is exactly the same... GameMaker Studio asset flips, ridiculous prices, review manipulation. SMT Ent. has shown a repeated pattern of ripping off GameMakerStudio templates and dumping them on Steam. Don't believe me? Here's some other asset flips from exactly the same template, all shamelessly dumped on Steam as nasty cash grabs:

"Meekanoid", copy + pasted from the same template by Gamesforgames
"Hustle Game", copy + pasted from the same template by GigantumGames
Look for yourself... these are all exactly the same game! The products that result from asset flips aren't "real" games. They lack depth and content, because they're just simplistic copies of demos or tutorials. In this case, "DIRTYBLOCK" is just a very basic Arkanoid/Breakout ripoff where the game area is limited to the left hand side of the screen, and doesn't have any merit as a proper, fully fledged PC game, so a copy+paste of it can't be recommended. Asset flips don't involve any professional game development. Sure, sometimes they may change a few cosmetic things, swap out different assets etc, but at heart it's functionally identical to the asset they're ripping off. Asset flips are an insult to both PC gamers and to professional game developers who create genuine, high quality PC games. Asset flips like this are harmful to the gaming industry and to Steam because they reduce the visibility that sincerely made indie games should have. They make it harder for gamers to find genuine games made by honest developers. To cement the position of this asset flip as nothing but a cash grab, it was dumped onto cheap DailyIndieGame shovelware bundles on launch day. Don't reward this morally bankrupt, unethical behaviour from SMT Ent..
Nice lil (& i mean lil!) arkanoid number, aesthetics matched with the sound, needs more tho this cant be it devs add more & double price. Should be bones your defending, more levels, gradually faster balls, create traps double up paddles & throw a dog collar frisby and stick in for good measure
Zwykła gra arkanoid, tylko w stylu retro.
Well-thought-out and well-executed gameplay, the balance is clearly present, there is no trouble with losing every time. The game is for one long run since there are no saves, but this game should be played this way, the dialogues are just for that!
A high-quality and uncomplicated arcade game with a lot of dialogues that dilute the gameplay. For the price they gave even more than it's worth.
As an indie arcade game, the game lives up to all expectations, but don't expect the game to be big. It only takes a few hours, but every cent (not even a dollar!) spent pays off at least three times.
This is a fairly enjoyable little game. I found it much easier than I expected . Also either I beat the entire game or its a very short game. At the end it just threw me back to the main menu. Anyway for 99 Cents I enjoyed it as if I played 4 quarters of it at an 80s arcade. Its worth a Buck but I wish it had more levels.
Amazing arkanoid, very cheap and not overpriced!
Nice little game, relaxing like a massage. It would seem that the scale of the game is simply miserable in comparison with even the smallest indie games, but the feeling of involvement in the game completely absorbs!
