Nice companion app for Dune Imperium, Clank!, and Wild Tiled West. Also some well-adapted digital board games like Root and Sagrada.
Excelente aplicación para agregar funcionalidades a tus juegos de mesa de Direwolf. Desde modo en solitario a modo campaña.
No he entendido nada... ¿Es una ayuda para juegos de mesa o qué es esto?
Very buggy. My and my two friends ALL had to reset our password after creating an account. Also, if Munchkin is already running, then joining a lobby doesn't do anything (the game has to NOT be running). Despite having a friends system, you CANNOT invite friends to a lobby (they still have to enter a password, and there's no friends-only mode). Clunky UI. Overall there is barebones essential functionality, but it's buggy and clunky.
A great companion app, especially for solo gamers.
Warning: Third Party Account This product requires you to create a third party "Dire Wolf" account... there's no valid reason for this in a PC product when SteamWorks is available. This is often done to harvest private data and profile you, with potential sale and transmission of your private data to third parties. The developers will probably argue that you can trust them, but if they were trustworthy they wouldn't demand you create a third party account. This represents a considerable risk to gamers due to the privacy and security implications of developers that wish to bypass Steam and harvest user data. Remember, sometimes if the product is free, YOU are the product.
This isn't a game, it's just a software application. "Dire Wolf Game Room" lacks the basic mechanics that make something a game. Lacking that, this is just an application that probably shouldn't exist on Steam because it's "competition" as it were... this is an app store itself! This lets you choose between a couple of boardgame companion applications (also not games!!!) that you then use to play real board games... huh. Nobody called "Google Play" a "game". And neither is this. Worse, this is a mobile app ported to Steam to help people find mobile apps... ugh, it's all so wrong. If you're looking for a PC game to play, this isn't one. To clarify why this isn't a game in more precise terms, a "game loop" is the core cycle of interaction and feedback between a player and the game itself. Tetris, for example, has a game loop where a random block appears, the gamer interacts with the block to position it, and then the game decides if that finishes a row or not, increases the players score if any rows were completed, then gives the gamer another block to position. Counter-Strike has a game loop where a player seeks another player, tests their skill against that player by shooting them or being shot, the computer rewards the player if they win, and then if the player survives, they repeat that loop. There's no loop here, no true interactive game-like feedback. It simply is not a game, it cannot be "played". This was incorrectly dumped into the "Games" section instead of the "Software" section. We can just guess this is because the developer has no idea what they are doing and just tried to shove their app down gamers throats without considering doing the right thing... once more a developer putting his own needs before that of gamers. There's a correct process for publishing games which the developer has either deliberately or incompetently not followed: Steam Developer Help With Software Publishing It is a shame the developer failed to follow the correct process, as we now have this garbage software app taking up space in the games section of the store where it doesn't belong. When developers publish things that obviously are not games as if they are games, it pollutes the marketplace and makes it harder to find real, genuinely made games from game developers who did the right thing. This kind of store pollution makes it harder for gamers to find those genuinely games. It's bad for everyone. There are no gameplay loops in this software, no "gameplay", no meaningful game like interaction. It's a software application and as such has no merits as a video game for gamers. Because of this, I cannot recommend this non-game software as a game to gamers. While this doesn't have an up front cost, it wasn't successful on Steam Direct. SteamDB shows this only ever had 11 concurrent users (out of around 40 million visitors every day to Steam), and that only ever happened once. There's no other way to measure that than complete failure... there's over 130 million gamers on Steam. Nobody was interested in this.
