I got hooked into the flow right from the first session. One of the things the game does best is its sense of pacing; the surface–sell–go back down loop feels fast and seamless. As you go deeper, the risk/reward balance feels great, constantly putting you in that “should I stay a bit longer or head back up?” dilemma. The digging itself feels satisfying, with well-tuned audio and feedback that make every action feel rewarding. The economy is simple but addictive; small gains start to add up in a noticeable way. Progression builds gradually rather than all at once, making you feel like you’re getting stronger layer by layer. The early game could use clearer guidance, though. In the first few minutes, understanding the systems is mostly left to the player. Also, some parts of the early stage require a bit of patience before the pace really picks up. Overall, it has a simple but very smooth gameplay loop that keeps you saying “just one more run.”
Most of the reviews touch on the topics I have been having issues with. Currency becomes a non issue pretty quickly. The Trader achievements either don't track correctly or are an insane grind that is simply not worth the time. Major issue I have been struggling with is getting through doorways of the saloon. The door to the shop leading to the exterior as well as one of the doorways upstairs next to the sheriff. Overall few complaints, it is early access and I have enjoyed the game while multitasking. Looking forward to alternative "maps" with a (hopefully) different set of treasures to find in lieu of the assortment of random weapons.
I’ve been closely following the updates, and it’s great to see things getting more polished with each patch. That said, there are still a few areas that feel a bit lacking. The gameplay loop flows well, but some systems don’t feel fully settled yet—especially in the early game, where it’s not always clear what you should focus on. It does open up as you progress, but the beginning could use clearer guidance. Also, the impact of some upgrades feels a bit delayed; I’d prefer to feel the return on my investment more immediately. That aside, the core mechanics are solid, and the game definitely has that “just one more run” feeling. With a few balance tweaks and better onboarding, it could reach a much stronger state.
I’ve been following the game since the demo and picked it up as soon as the full version came out. Played for about an hour so far. Mining feels really good each hit is satisfying. The wheelbarrow starts off a bit tiring, but once you upgrade it, it actually becomes pretty fun. Breaking crystals and seeing the money pop out is weirdly satisfying 😄 The energy drink + bench press system is also a nice touch, having a permanent strength boost keeps you motivated. You constantly feel like going “just a bit deeper,” and the game does a great job with that. The tutorial felt a bit short though. At the start, I wasn’t always sure what I was supposed to do and had to figure things out myself. Also, before upgrading the wheelbarrow, it can feel a bit grindy. Other than that, it’s in a pretty good state for Early Access. No bugs so far, runs smoothly, and it definitely has a lot of potential 👍
