3/10 ♥♥♥♥ Hook is a conceptual casual third person experience where you hook naked women with your appendage. It is what it says it is but it isn’t much. ♥♥♥♥ Hook delivers on exactly what it says it will in the title. The game is extremely casual and set in third person where you click to “hook” a girl with your appendage. That’s it. The game delivers on everything it says it will and is fun for a couple of minutes. The concept itself is fully realized. The music and sounds are okay. The gameplay itself is okay. The controls are very intuitive. There’s also a couple backgrounds which include snow and space. Overall it’s an okay game with a silly concept. NSFW in nature. I encountered no bugs while playing. I played for literally a couple minutes before getting my fill. I actually had to go back to play for a couple more minutes to be able to write a review. No achievements or cards. Life-changing experience. Before I played this game I was single, ugly, and infertile. After just one game, a beautiful woman knocked on my door and asked to be my lover. People who once rejected me now welcomed me with open arms. My family finally let me visit again, my dog stopped hiding from me, and most importantly I spontaneously became fertile once more. I could not imagine my life without this game, and I could not possibly fathom a more worthwhile experience. 11/10. The graphics make Red Dead look like Runescape, the performance is unmatched, the game is clearly well optimized, so even low end PCs can enjoy this game to it's fullest extent, and the ambient music is very inviting and immersive. The gameplay is simple and intuitive to grasp. A helpful guide is available to the player at any time. The controls are simple, yet the gameplay remains engaging, a hallmark of good game design. Lastly, the story. Some other reviews mention that the story lacks depth, but it's evident that the players simply didn't grasp the main points. ♥♥♥♥ Hook is a game with a deep, yet very subtle story. The story is told through it's characters and worldbuilding rather than it's dialogue, a strategy that successful games like Breath of the Wild practice as well. ♥♥♥♥ Hook might have one of the most interesting and immersive stories I have ever experienced in a game. All in all, ♥♥♥♥ Hook is more than a game; ♥♥♥♥ Hook is nothing short of a masterpiece. I plan on sharing this game with my newfound friends and family, and I can only hope that one day it receives all of the love and attention it clearly deserves.
