DEXED

DEXED has a lot going for it, awesome art direction and the gameplay is quite fun. You basically have two 'guns', ice and fire and have to target enemies according to the elements. Fire beats ice mobs, ice beats fire mobs. I cannot stress enough how nice the art is in this game, the environments are breathtaking and easy on the mind and not motion sickness inducing. As with a lot of VR games the game is rather short, but this game has a lot of replayability and the pricing is fair and half that of many other games that are more tech demos over this polished product. I do recommend this game because it does not entirely focus on the novelty of VR but offers an interesting take on gameplay and what the Vive controllers can do.

When I first heard of VR coming to mainsteam, one of the first games I thought of was "Child of Eden". That was a lot of fun, esp if you had a 3d TV and a playstation. This games borrows a ton from it. I still hope that Eden gets ported, but this is the next best thing. Visually, one of the best VR offerings

was looking forward to this, sounded like audioshield + rez, how could it NOT be good? but the annoying and distracting interface totally ruins it :/ the constent overlay of the current score/multiplier on top center and the crosshair of each of your guns looks just like the targets youre looking out for and once you shoot, your projectiles look exactly like the enemies youre shooting at... ...which sometimes shoot back at you, and you guessed it, their projectiles look just like them, and like your own projectiles so as you can imagine, it all turns into a big mess of blue and orange objects moving around on screen The levels are beautiful and the game has potential sadly it doesnt look like the dev is fine tuning the game at all and just gave up on it :/

Fun, polished 3d puzzle shooter on rails. This is a good one for introducing people to VR or for when you just wanna sit in the middle of the room on a (swiveling) chair

Bought this today and played through all the levels (some twice) and the boss in about 40 minutes. It is a railer, but in a beautiful environment. Shooting at the enemies with the 'wrong' color controller is a nice concept in which you sometimes (in stress) get confused and have to block a counter attack. It is beautiful, though repetitive, but with highscore tables it is tempting enough to play over and over again. For 10 euro in my opinion this one is certainly worth to buy.

Dexed ist ein railroad … ähh ein onrails VR-shooter in dem man mit Feuer die Eisgegner und mit Eis die Feuergegner abschießen muss. Die Grafik ist farbenfroh. Der Sound ist passend und die Steuerung funktioniert mit den Rift Touchcontroller perfekt. Dies liegt wohl auch daran, dass man eine feurige bzw. eisige Zielanzeige hat und damit nicht raten muss, ob man richtig zielt. Es geht eher um schnelle Entscheidungen und zügiges abdrücken, als um genaues, ruhiges zielen. Das Game bietet 4 unterschiedliche Umgebungen, einen Endboss und einen Arcademodus. Durch die globale Rangliste gibt es auch einen gewissen Wiederspielwert, so dass man immer wieder mal eine Runde spielen kann, um sich global oder mit Freunden zu messen. Für 9,99 Euro ist des gebotene ganz ok und da des Konzept Spaß macht, bekommt es meine Empfehlung.
