Once the initial teething bugs are ironed out the game will be a lot of fun. Nice feature that you can report bugs directly to the developers so they can work on them. Been daily patches so far showing theyre actively working to make the experience better. Looking forward to see how it develops and for a fiver you can't go wrong.
Something different from the usual trope of the horror genre. Currently the game is buggy and needs some fixing but I am excited for when the game comes together over time with updates and definitely recommend as a ones to watch.
I feel like these reviews are honest but a bit harsh. The game has its things, as all **EARLY ACCESS GAMES** have. They are a smaller game developers, but they listen. I'm hoping that they'll add a way for us to fix the way the game kinda lags/skips when looking around. Perhaps even a way to change audio better. I can hear zombies from further away when my friends are getting attacked. The graphics are GORGEOUS, but its certainly a game with its bugs but you guys have released so many updates and are working on things. So I cant wait to see the final pieces when they come into place over time!!
Really tiresome game, different to other horror games and the concept is derivative. Graphically weak and the devs seem to really disregard. Looking backward to Bring her back!
played for an hour, honestly unsure so far... no map, no clue to where to go, the zombies dont kill you, no clues to how many c4 to plant (or how many to go), no health stats in a positive, unlimited stamina!
The game bear his own good title descritption.
Beautiful game graphically, this game is in extremely early access and its a first publish from the creator. The game is pretty buggy but receiving daily updates. I enjoy the aspect of the game and the mechanics that are going to be implemented. I recommend this game because of the horror and what this game will become.
Just to start things off Desolation is currently in Early Access but the foundation for the game is promising from a dark but dystopian city ravaged by a infection my first trek through the city I got lost in the atmosphere starting off near a forest then moving closer and closer to the city the daylight fades and you're quickly engulfed in darkness. The objective is simple but has a really interesting twist that being
Destroy City
. Desolation does supports Online Co-op which helps with completing the Objective but you can play the game Solo either way you play the map is a decent size and exploration is a must! I recommend familiarizing yourself with the story areas to collect documents to reveal what happen to the city. The sound design is also pretty decent the thunder and rain are crisp and the audio logs are really well done especially the subtle tape recorder effect to add to the immersion. I'm looking forward to seeing how far this game will go the developers have been really transparent with the development of Desolation and I've enjoyed being able to hear about all of the additions they are planning so check it out with friend or go at it alone its a promising start just have an open mind really look at the potential and you should have a good time. Also look at the red benches by the side walk the text 100% true
Im going to write this review as honest as i can, the first thing that i noticed that was different from other games was the graphics, They are immaculate ! and the map is huge, and for it being EARLY release it looks and plays amazing so far. This game has so much potential and i cannot wait to see where it goes. The gameplay could be longer, i'd love to see more objectives? and maybe a huge boss monster. <3 overall i love the game and i have gotten spooked a handful of times! I simply cannot wait for the upcoming maps! The devs also pushing these updates daily is crazy! the work and time they put on this game makes the 5$ worth it to me. i am so so so proud of them <3 Thank you for making a game worth playing <3
