Really cool take on the Idle genre! Feels great to write code and level up simultaneously.

This game is so good

Game: Desktown Rating: ★★★★☆ [h1]Positives:[/h1] › Has a good balance between fully idle and interactive play. › Guessing secret words was pretty satisfying. › Buildings are cute and match the themes well. › Takes about 100 hours to complete all achievements. [h1]Negatives:[/h1] › There is no list for unlocked secret words and its infuriating having to guess words again the next day and hope you come up with a new one. › The lists of words are extremely hard to complete and honestly just thinking of easy words that match the theme doesn't help. › The price per theme/zone seemed weirdly off why buy the expensive zone other than to unlock it when the first zone will always be cheaper. › As some of the other reviews noted I did get locked in the tutorial and could not progress (rage quit and left it for a couple weeks I have no idea how I fixed it) › I joined the discord and asked a couple questions and never got a reply. [h1]Community Items/Socials:[/h1] › Artworks on the achievements is nice and matches the games art style. [b]Do I recommend this game?[/b] [b] Ahhh Yeah [/b] I quite liked how the game played after I got it working and played it pretty solidly and put in quite a bit of time guessing the secret words and I didn't finish a single list of words, so I'm glad there was no achievement for completing a list. It's not a game I'd go back to play again or leave running in the background. It could 100% use some updates to get more people interested as the concept is really good, but looking at the socials I don't think this game will be getting any improvements.

Game is completely broken after trying to move it between monitors and locking up. It appears in task manager and on the taskbar, but there's no sound and the game window is missing. Restarted Steam and tried reinstalling the game multiple times and it didn't fix whatever this bug is. The game looked cute, but it's a shame that there's a bug making the game completely inaccessible. If fixed, I'll update my review.

Konsepnya oke, bahkan rasanya ini salah satu gim yang ada alat produktivitasnya (pewaktu maju/mundur, alarm, bahkan Pomodoro). Cuma agak makan sumber daya komputer (15-20% CPU min 70 C, 15% GPU menurut overlay Steam) dalam keadaan tidak menjalankan apa-apa. Dev cukup tanggap di Discord. Kalau nggak masalah dengan ini, bisa jadi teman pendamping selagi kerja.

Thhe game is super fun and it's really nice to have it while doing homework since it gives me resources when I'm typing. The only thing that I don't like is the fact that one of the acheivement seems bugged. I have found 500 words but I still don't have the acheivement. Other than that it's a really fun idle game.
