Depths of Limbo

Oh. My. Goodness. It FEELS good. That's the elusive thing Nuclear Throne has in spades. That's a combination of the controls being responsive and the sound design being satisfying, maybe. And a fusion of the best bits of Binding of Isaac and Nuclear Throne...? That's the holy grail, man. That's what Enter the Gungeon was shooting for and... just missed. And now I'll dial it down. I'm just getting started (feeling compelled, but just getting started) and it's an Early Access game. We shall see. But that said, at the price (and/or if you picked up the Indie Gala humpday bundle that's very little indeed), dang it if it isn't fun to play. The developers would have to fumble hard for this one not to be worth it. Long live the developers, and may they not lose sight of the goal of a polished game.
