Vampire Survivors for poor gaymers.

For now, since it's badly optimized, could you remove weather effects and the way the camera shakes, maybe even reduce particles for some of the effects? Or at least make an option to do so since all I see now in the options is audio volume adjustment. Good that it doesn't use many resources when paused like many other survivors game at least and actually freezes when it isn't the main window. Also, the descriptions are too simple and have typos, for example it says sometime instead of some time, Should separate passives from active skills, whether the icon visuals, the locations or both. It's not entirely clear how the heal works and since there's no explanation. The pick up radius is way too small if you can't increase it. On level up you may gain the same spell upgrade more than once, reducing the amount of actual choices, while there's no mouse support as I see and you can only use the keyboard for that. Maybe also because of the way the camera moves, there's a slight stutter after a dash and you can't start moving immediately. Overall damage doesn't increase everything, for example the lava spill. Same with the Burn Bonus. In fact I don't think it works at all, how can you have odd numbers with 4x dmg bonus. There's no description whatsover about the skills, their stats on getting them and upgrading them, so you just guess and take something without knowing what it does. Seems like there's a limit on abilities but you have no way of knowing it till you get to that number and if it includes the passives or not. Getting some currency you can't use (even have a chest that gives it) is pointless even as a "score check" After 10 minutes of a run I just let myself die since nothing was happening and no indication that it will. There is just no game now.

"Demons Infernalize" is yet another ripoff of Vampire Survivors (copyright Poncle, 2023), but to date no legal action has been taken by Poncle against the developer. However, as Tetris Holdings LLC vs Xio Interactive shows us, the aspects of game design the developer stole from Poncle are protected by copyright law. Putting aside the ethical bankrupcy of stealing someone else's game IP, this ripoff is significantly worse than Vampire Survivors, although the graphics are slightly better, it's badly optimised, lacks basic customisation features, and just sucks to play. In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low poly 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad looking games. Insultingly, the developer insists that you should play this with a console peasant children's toy gamepad instead of KB+M. Developers should try to be aware which platform they're designing games for. It's the responsibility of the developer to ensure the game runs well on the platform they're selling it on, with the primary peripherals that PC gamers use. The developer chose not to do the job of a real game developer and create meaningful bespoke levels, narrative based gameplay progression and so on. Instead, they decided that "Procgen IS content!" and lazily tried to use procgen algorithms to create infinite, samey, repetitive, soulless levels, because that's a lot less work. As a result of this poor decision, the game gets tired and repetitive almost immediately. Developers must learn that procgen is a terrible substitute for creating real content. It should not be used as "ez-mode" for content creation, as the developer tried to do here. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $5 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. Despite having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.

Thought this demo was cool at first, but it only took a few minutes to see this has a long way to go. The minute you take an upgrade, the mobs counter it. Example - Each time i took a speed boost, it basically lasted for a whole 10secs, then the mobs sped up and right on top of me. Also, there's no way to turn off autofire and autolaim, and there's no meta progression. So if the skill upgrades result in nothing, and you do nothing aside from kiting mobs around in a circle until they overrun you, this isn't even a game. It's an interactive video. If the developer addresses these things and this becomes more of an actual game that provides a rewarding, enjoyable experience, I'll gladly update my review and purchase the full copy (free demo is the only thing available now).
.
not bad for a early access i hope i see more in the next update
