Defective Detectives

Defective Detectives is a short graphic novel that gives a nod to film noir and is sure to make you smile. The story opens when the local mayor calls to report that Fluffy, his daughter’s hamster, is missing, Detective Johnson and Intern Billy are off to solve the case, which turns out to be more complex and dangerous than one might expect. You travel through the underbelly of the city and meet a host of unique and (mostly) villainous characters. Gameplay involves clicking through dialog to progress the story. There are no voiceovers, no exploration, no puzzles. It is a short story that will take you about 30-45 minutes to read through. I enjoyed the style of the graphics and the creativity of the characters. The story is well written, and the soundtrack creates a fun mood. However, the game lacks polish. It starts out in a language other than English, and one must navigate an untranslated menu to find the option screen. During the game, there are menu options displayed at the bottom of the screen that feel as if they were left there by accident. And, on a couple of occasions, I got an exception screen that allowed me to “keep going” without issue. Achievements are not supported. There are about a dozen places in the game where a dialog choice is presented. Usually, one of these progresses the story and the others result in various flavors of “game over.” My strategy quickly became saving my game before each dialog choice. There are adequate slots available and this eliminated replay. I would recommend Defective Detectives if you enjoy the "click-only" style of a pure graphic novel and are looking for some dark humor. You may also want to consider the price that you are willing to pay for such a short game experience. Это вполне себе забавно, но очень коротко. Верить отзывам людей, кто просидел в этой игре 1-3-9 часов - совершенно глупо, потому что вся игра проходится за 30 минут или меньше. Однако, хочу сказать, что за эти деньги - очень хорошо) Мне очень понравилась визуальная составляющая, звуковое сопровождение, и тупейший рэп-баттл который озвучили. Но оказалось чертовски мало. However, I want to say that for this money it is very good) I really liked the visual component, the soundtrack, and the stupidest rap battle that was voiced. But it turned out to be damn little. Сколько стоит удовольствие? За 57 рублей вы получается час отсылок, юмора и хорошего настроения!! Правда если вам меньше 30 лет, вы наверное нихера не поймете))) Но я очень был рад найти и покекать с этой игры. Каждая реплика это шедевр, с которого меня просто разрывало)))

Добротная и интересная визуальная новелла с классным сюжетом про детектива. Советую купить игру!
