Good game with strategy you can win most of the game on hardest difficulty

D6DD (or just DD) is an interesting solo dice game that managed to combine tactics with rogue-lite that makes for an interesting game with some interesting mechanics. The gameplay is pretty simple. Pick your ship (you start with just 1 of 6, and need to unlock the rest). The ship has a certain number of crew represented as dice. Crew have different roles: sensor, command, repair, recharge, tactical, and medic. Every turn, you roll your dice based on availability (some situations can cause you to have more or less crew available). You then roll for "threats". which can be internal or external. Internal threats had to be neutralized via specific crew, or crew combinations. External threats can sometimes to defeated via use of tactical officer through a boarding action, or require use of tactical offier to fire your ship's weapons. You decide. You can also just stay back and do repairs. When you end your turn, the enemy ships attack and do damage to you. Then the next turn starts. until you made it to the end and defeat the big boss... or you die. Sounds simple, but due to the random nature of dice, things can get hectic. Threats can be enemy ships (which has various types, even special attacks), or external terrain like asteroid field (random damage) and nebula (which neutralizes your shields!). Internal threat can be saboteurs, disease, and more. There are some special abilities and mechanics. One thing is "sensors", which "locks up" some of your crew until you get 3 crew locked up in which case your crew is freed automatically at the expense of adding another threat, or you can use the medic ability to free one of the sensor crew. This mechanic wasn't rationalized very well in the game, but makes for an intriguing play loop, as you need medic to delay the arrival of threats so you can deal with the present ones. Another thing is command, which only has two abilities: full reroll of your dice (except itself), or ability to force one of the die to convert to something you can actually use. The starter ship is balanced, and has a stasis beam, which "freezes" the enemy so it cannot attack you when its turn arrives. This has many tactical implications. Later ships would have their own more interesting capabilities. A typical game, even on easy, will last quite a while as typical threats to neutralize is 40, and the boss fight takes a bit longer. UI is not bad, a little on the simpler side, and can use a bit more polish, but as is, it is quite playable. Perhaps not flashy or tense as something like FTL, but it is uniquely challenging on its own.
Hey I thought I would support a fellow indie developer and pick up this game. Its a lot of fun, I enjoy the strategy and I am looking forward to its updates. My only comment would be to make it easier to unlock some of the other ship types, i'm excited to try some new ships, but it seems i have to unlock 10 levels first? In any case, a great game, solid effort, keep up the good work from your friends and NeuroJump!
Карточно-кубиковая FTL. Отличия: - Забеги короткие 30-60 минут; - Тотальная зависимость от рандома; - Корабли разные, у каждого своя тактика.
Dee-6 is simple to play yet challenging. You'll achieve victory by maximising your odds getting a little luck. You'll fight through campaigns and random battles with various ships! A nice amount of content and replayability for a great price!
Un classique revisité
Enjoyable game that puts a nice spin on the now common FTL theme, clearly inspired by a board game, but if you're into that like I am, it's great. Do note there are some major moments of random-ness as a result. Sometimes you'll lose just due to poor dice rolls or bad threat draws, other times, you'll breeze through a mission due to just the opposite, that's pretty par for the course in boardgame type games though.
