FEEL/LOOK:
Awesome classic music really suits the game to a T you end up feeling super calm while playing even when losing, the red/brown pieces look nicer over normal black; overall it really knows what the game is trying to be and pulls it off very cleanly the UI is also really smooth.
GAME-PLAY:
Good:
The pieces light up when it's you're turn and lights only a single piece telling you witch one you need to take witch is super cool. Really cool puzzle concept with 20 levels currently on each English, Russian and one more, they are challenging putting you into tough situations which is really fun. Local play using the same screen is flawless, but wish maybe you could have separate key binds for each player's pieces rather than having to use one mouse and keep swapping it's quite the pain. I haven't played multiplayer as of yet so I can't speak for that.
Bug/HotFix:
- Sometimes it tells me to take when there is nothing to take and since it locks out all you're other moves when you are forced to take, I'am forced to restart but It hasn't happened to me in a while could have just been me.
- When I change the camera angle of the board from a sitting view to birds eye, it makes the lights reflect too strong of the pieces kinda ruins that camera view
- Every time I booted the game for a while my PC anti virus "Norton" would pop up telling me about how the game doesn't have a valid signature I'm not quite sure why (I no longer have this issue tho)
FINAL THOUGHTS:
Why not allow players not mix and match there own rule-sets with custom options + some more official rule-sets (saw it in another review)? Feel like this would be interesting and maybe with workshop integration so that people can make the environment + board + pieces the way they like, even allow us to make the board sizes huge 100by100, more pieces, special moves, even whole new games with this kind of integration. I know what you're game is it's classic and gorgeous but IF you did something like this it would really open a whole new world for you're already fantastic game.
PS:
- I don't really play competitively but could you put a competitive mode in where I could also "export move's" like the chess coordinates of the board in order, possibly to put them into a new training mode. Heck why not allow for me to export multiplayer games where I have lost then play the winners moves over and over, till I beat them?

I would like to see a game-mode/rule-set implemented called "lose ems" me and my Grandad sometimes play this. The rules are as followed:
no kings, all pieces move as king's (English rule-set for kings), lose all you're pieces to win!
