Go undercover as the world’s greatest spies in this tense multiplayer game of subterfuge. Disguise as anyone, deploy an arsenal of high-tech gadgets or neutralize the competition. As long as you extract with the objective, no trick is too dirty when you work for DECEIVE INC.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
In its basic concept, it is a spy game that decided to focus on combat instead of creative espionage gameplay, of which balance is nowhere good enough and it is just a camping match, *and* of which the most effective balance attempt for it was reducing the maximum player amount per lobby. Cheaters also became more rampant and paramount after giving this away in Epic. Only buy on sale with 11 others that are willing to play for custom matches.
This game is fun and a breath of fresh air, gameplay wise. However, this game is dead? My friend and I faced the same team back to back (which were really good and we were new) So we got crushed instantly almost every time. It would be a fun experience with a group of friends, but not by yourself. Also matchmaking takes forever and you'll likely get matched with the same people or bots repeatedly. I REALLY WANNA LIKE THIS GAME

Guys, stay away from it. It is a trap Long story short, if you think it is something like The Ship, or another similar game of deceit and smart playing, nope. It is false advertising. It is shooter in disguise with everything being based around shooting and killing people, and all skills and gadgets leading to that one way or another. And it is occupied by old members of community that simply demolish any new player that attempts to play it. Even worse, "beginner protection" that you lose after level 50 is simply an adequate matchmaking that teams you with people of your level and lower. You heard it right, after reaching level 50 it literally can place you in the same team as level 1000 or something You can buy and try it, but be warned, it might be really different from what you expect. Also discord channel of the game is pure cancer, with admins seemingly deciding to cosplay as the best example of average discord mod. If you actually buy the game, try playing in closed lobbies with friends, might be better experience. Sad that such good potential and idea is completely messed up and turned into another shooter occupied by tryhards
This game had everything I wanted my first FPS to have, Probably one of my favourite games ever. I've met amazing people through this game, I've had so much fun and this game was worth every penny. all love to Sweet Bandits for making this game. Wouldn't advise buying the game since its plug got pulled out by the publishers. Unfortunately, the publishers behind this game never saw the true value of this game and never cared about the game and its community. The game itself never got any type of advertisement, even during free weekend, it wasn't posted on any of Tripwires social media accounts. It never received the backing that the devs needed to keep their passion project afloat or so it seems, because at some point TW had enough and backed out, leaving a whole dev team to have no job. TW Community managers are a joke, there was never a good community. The official maincord had power-tripping mods that TW never cared about, they actually gave someone mod that got mod removed beforehand. There is a document floating around on reddit with all the dumb stuff TW allowed to happen through DI's discord, of which TW do the 'community managing' of. molly and yosh are a joke. So positive for the game, negative for the publishers,
Only 6 ppl playing if his game as of nov 2025 . No it’s $2 😂 . I can already imagine how this game died , devs listening to idiots 😂
company bakrupt, servers dead, dont buy
I unfortunately cannot reccomend this game in its current state. As it stands, the game has completely ceased development wise, not even minor bug fixes. Of course being a live service game it needs updates to thrive or at least survive. The second thing it needs is players, which it does not have. Daily player numbers hover between 5 to 35 players. It's only a matter of time before the server's eventually get unplugged and it joins the graveyard of other dead live service games. You can however still play solo with bots, which barely function and gets tiring quick or you can find a few other mates to join you in a private lobby. It's a bit of a shame, as the artstyle, theming and gameplay all seemed quite original and fun, but it seems it didn't take off.
One of the best games that never had a chance to be succesful.
Deceive was a phenomenal game that unfortunately was overshadowed by other releases on-top of having a less than impressive content release schedule. The game with friends, can be quite fun however like you'll see in other reviews the developers announced they would be ceasing development. Things that could have been better. -More Consistent Content -Game should have been Free to play -Regular Balances and transparent communication.
Deceive Inc. blends undercover espionage with hero-shooter gunplay, creating a competitive experience that feels genuinely unlike anything else on the multiplayer market. Its emphasis on deception, disguise, and mind-games makes even simple matches tense and unpredictable. The game embraces a retro-futuristic 60s–70s spy fiction vibe, reminiscent of Archer, The Incredibles, and classic Bond movies. Menus, huds, and gadgets have a polished “spy gadget” aesthetic, and the UI is clean enough to be readable even in chaotic fights. The core strength of Deceive Inc. is its social stealth system. Instead of rushing into firefights, players must behave like NPCs to avoid detection. NPCs follow their own routines, and blending in requires subtle movement rather than standard shooter instincts. Though stealth matters most, combat is meaningful and often decisive. Map designs reward creative navigation. Multiple hidden routes, ventilation shafts, staff areas, and vertical shortcuts make positioning crucial. Progression feels steady rather than grindy. Unlocking new agents gives genuine gameplay variety, not just cosmetic differences. Server performance is generally reliable; desync and lag are rare. Deceive Inc. offers one of the most unique multiplayer experiences available today. Its social stealth and spy mechanics create dynamic encounters that no other game replicates. When the deception works, matches feel like tense, improvisational heist movies where every other player might be watching you from across the room. While repetition and balance issues hold it back from perfection, the core gameplay is so original, stylish, and clever that it’s well worth playing—especially with friends or anyone who enjoys strategy, stealth, or “mind game” PvP.
