seems worth at least a dollar
Surprising amount of depth and complexity not shown in the campaign, only accessible in the level editor. If you're willing to dig into the strange scripting setup, you can create very dynamic, great looking levels with pretty unique gameplay. I'm hoping the workshop becomes more popular, as there's a lot of potential here wasted.

作死游戏,纯粹喜加一。 两分钟的游戏体验。 不过可以自己设置关卡难度,算是有点内容。 You are asking for it .plus my game count by one. Two minute game experience. However, you can set your own difficulty level. A little bit of content.

Who's still playing this is 2024? I am!
Death Game is an indie platformer that takes one of gaming’s most universal goals—staying alive—and completely turns it upside down. Developed by Enemby Games and published by Enemby Games and Fractured Mind, the title revolves around a bizarre competition where participants are rewarded not for survival, but for finding the fastest and most inventive ways to meet their demise. This unusual premise immediately gives the game a distinctive identity, setting it apart from countless platformers that rely on traditional success-and-failure mechanics. The game thrives on dark humor and absurdity. Players are thrown into a deadly contest organized by a wealthy host, where the objective is to reach death before anyone else. What makes the concept entertaining is how effectively it forces players to rethink years of gaming habits. Instead of avoiding spikes, traps, and dangerous obstacles, players actively seek them out. Hazards become useful tools rather than threats, creating a constant sense of irony that fuels much of the game’s charm. Gameplay combines platforming, light puzzle-solving, and environmental experimentation. Each level encourages players to analyze their surroundings and discover the quickest route to failure. While movement and controls are relatively straightforward, the challenge comes from figuring out how to use the environment against yourself. This reversal of expectations creates moments that are both humorous and surprisingly engaging, as players test different approaches to achieve the most efficient defeat possible. Visually, Death Game embraces a retro-inspired pixel art style that complements its quirky personality. The graphics are simple but effective, with colorful environments and clearly designed hazards that make navigation easy to understand. The presentation does not aim for realism or technical spectacle, instead focusing on readability and charm. This approach suits the game’s comedic nature and helps maintain a lighthearted atmosphere despite the morbid subject matter. One of the title’s greatest strengths is its originality. Many indie games attempt to stand out through unusual mechanics, but Death Game succeeds because its central idea directly influences every aspect of the experience. The story, level design, and gameplay systems all reinforce the same concept, resulting in a cohesive and memorable package. The game constantly challenges players to think differently, making even simple stages feel fresh because the objective is so unconventional. However, the novelty of the premise can be a double-edged sword. While the concept is entertaining and creative, much of the enjoyment comes from the initial surprise of reversing traditional gaming logic. Players looking for deep progression systems, extensive storytelling, or a lengthy campaign may find the experience somewhat limited. The game works best as a focused indie project built around a clever idea rather than a large-scale adventure. Even with those limitations, Death Game remains a fun and imaginative title that demonstrates the strengths of independent game development. Its willingness to embrace an unusual concept and fully commit to it makes it stand out among countless platformers. The combination of dark comedy, puzzle-oriented design, and self-destructive objectives creates an experience that is both amusing and memorable. For players who enjoy quirky indie games and appreciate developers willing to experiment with unconventional ideas, Death Game offers a refreshing change of pace. It may not appeal to everyone, but its creativity and sense of humor ensure that it leaves a lasting impression long after the final challenge has been completed. Rating: 5/10
