The only thing worse than the boot up sound is the exit sound if you don't lower the volume while in-game. You can get stuck in some corners and jump endlessly in corners of spikes that are pointed down. The game itself if polished and gives you a nice player experience if played from chat. Got to kill Ludwig a bunch of times, so I have to give it 10/10 would play again

Death By Chatter is the only game where the main mechanic is: > **“Shut up or die… but also talk or die.”** You and some “friends” hop into voice chat to complete simple tasks while a Thing listens to every noise you make: * Talk too much? It hunts you. * Breathe too loud? It hunts you. * Keyboard clack, Discord ping, chair squeak? **Consider yourself content.** It’s basically Discord, but with consequences. --- ### Pros * Proximity voice chat makes everything 100x funnier and 200x dumber. * Forces actual teamwork: * “Whisper the plan.” * “Stop yelling.” * “Who keeps slamming their desk?!?” * The horror isn’t even the monster—it’s hearing your own recorded voice back in a jumpscare. * Amazing built-in party game: try explaining to your non-gamer friend that their loud mechanical keyboard just wiped the squad. --- ### Cons * One friend with a bad mic = environmental hazard. * You *will* die mid-sentence saying something embarrassing. The killcam is just you going, “So anyway I kind of like th–” *chomp*. * Strangers in public lobbies treat “stay quiet” as a personal challenge and immediately start beatboxing. * Half your time is spent adjusting mic sensitivity instead of adjusting your actual survival instincts. --- ### Peak Death By Chatter Moments * Entire team carefully whispering, then someone’s mom yells “DINNER’S READY” in the background and the monster sprints in like DoorDash. * Surviving a hunt by literally holding your breath IRL, then coughing once and instantly regretting it. * Trying to call out intel, realizing the monster is sound-based, and switching to panicked Morse code in voice. * Wiping because someone alt-tabbed, autoplayed a TikTok, and the demon apparently liked the audio. --- 9/10 The only horror game where your greatest weakness isn’t the monster—it’s your own social skills and $15 microphone. Would once again tell my team “okay everyone stay completely silenc—” and get absolutely demolished by my own nervous laughter.

This godawful game automatically opens your browser to some twitch looking login screen, At the same time it opens up the game with some godawful annoying incessant music. I found that you dont actually need to login with your actual twitch username as it accepted the default name already in the box. This game doesnt really seem to work as it should without "chat" to fire guns at you. It's badly drawn and continues to play terrible music. Wouldn't recommend this game to my worst enemies.
